On that note, somebody was wondering earlier if they could work together with a friend to produce a short story. What do you think about that? It looks like it may be aimed towards getting individual people to produce a single story of their own, but is there any restriction that would stop two people from working on one together? |

Well, I just read your article on Dark Forces, Past and Future. I have to say I am in complete agreement and can emphatize 100% with everything written. Gosh, running JK2 (JKDF2) on my ole P1-133Mhz, then upgrading to a P1-166Mhz, then a P2-300Mhz, oh MAN! The rush! The days have come and gone. Blood was indeed a good game, popular amongst a crowd I hang with now. Installed the ole JKDF2 the other day, I think I beat the entire single player in 90 minutes, gosh it used to take me ages hours. Must have been load time or the fact that I've done it about 129340812039 x 10^123908 times. I merely forgot about MotS, dang that is the best expansion ever released for any game I've ever played. Oh and the mods, and levels, and massassi.net. BeefCaike and his maps. Drazen Isle, ENC, JHS, the ever popular Morpheus map by bug. Where did you all go? We call them maps now, but deep down we all know, they're levels. The Space Soldiers 3 mod, somethinJediX mod where I watched my friend jump out of his seat in surprise at the gib effects when I instagibbed him. And hacks hacks hacks galore. Building? A frantic attempt to keep a dead game alive. BGJ. VotJ. Canyon Oasis. Nar Shaddaa Loading Terminal. Baron's Hed RPG. JO, Now known as JK2, what an impressive game. I remember a friend showing me the first time how to spin my saber around me continuously, no one knew how to do that. JKA, At long last I gave in about 1.5 years ago and bought JKA, gosh the combat system sucked I thought. Oh well, I got used to it. This series has captivated me for over a decade. Dark Forces was released in February of 1995, who's old now? Oh the memories... I wonder if I will ever be able to give up playing these games. Oh, by the way, I'm 18. After revision, thanks for bringin' up the memories, great writing =) |
