I thought long and hard about how to describe Pink Floyd_Mintaka's (winner of a variety of awards including my own MPAG award for pure genius) various, numerous, contributions to this academy in this long overdue comment. Weaponsmith, musician, mapper, mentor, joint creator of the Mintaka's, superb duelist, helpful, and more than anything, an all round fun guy. It was a daunting task.
So to The Floydster (aka Old Man Mintaka, That Bloke Who Likes Ninjas, Pinky etc.) I can only say... What a guy. Here's #5000. -Ches P.S In the immortal words of Kenwan: Pink Floyd rules! Ah okay yeah i know how real life can make it hard to get on here. Yeah i've been good, got some great feedback on my january exams and some of my coursework - which is now almost all handed in, plus life has been fun.

I be good. GL on the tourney tomorrow! I have a performance in High School Musical tomorrow. Stupid Disney movies.... why did I try out for it, Pink. Why?! It's not all too bad, actually. Aside from the 50+ annoying chorus kids.. but, the director is my favorite ever. Check out the Mintaka forums.

Hey Pink! I have a mapping question for you! ok so I am at the end of the 102 section of the tutorial and learning to put a sky into my map... here is the problem.
When I load up the sky shader directory it shows both pictures and the litle checkerboad boxes in the texture viewer... ok I have figured out that the pictures are just textures that the sky script is using to create the skybox (feel free to correct me if I am talking out my arse ) but most of the shaders I select wont work and end up giving me a HOM (hall of mirrors) effect. is their anyway to know which ones are going to work before you spend the time compiling? am I using the wrong directory ? (base\textures\skies)
I might just have anserd my ow question but that was too much typing not to post |
