It's just the downloadable version doesn't allow you to connect to the JA servers, and usually gives people that error message. As for the copy you got from your friend, I would have thought it would have worked. Make sure you have the 1.01 Patch and that there are no files in your base or reload folders that could currupt your game files. (reload is the mod folder the JA servers use. Don't worry though, since it's serverside, so you won't need to download anything for it to work.) Oh, and did you try serveral times? It may have just been a one-off!  |
