hey lets team up and make a mod with admin commands to all (tele and jksay or amsay (something like that))and then once that's done (part anyway)we can put some funny abilitys like a wall apear around u then u smash each one with your head (takes down health 1hp tho hehehe)and that be call headsmash. Well any sugestions for the mod programers post and i will put it on. |

I'd just like to comment that the whole making walls around a character thing is currently not possible. It would involve somehow changing the map and adding walls around someone then saving the map and then quickly sending it to everyone's client so that we all saw it. I'm sure there are other ways but no it is quite impossible at this moment. |

No, talle, they're true. It's not that simple to mod. JA+ was a mod which had many commands from Reloaded. If you read the link to the thread in my signature, that's what happened. Try to come up with some new ideas.  Yes, like Orion says, it's not so simple to mod. You need to know a lot of math, and I mean good math for that type of mod. there are no classes for modding, i my self do not have time to do a modding class, and it would have to be for advanced programmers not beginners, you need to have a lot of knowledge about the C and C++ programming languages to be able to mod. You need to under stand pointers, application flow, bit wise operations, arrays, structures, and so much other things. most beginner programmers have a hard time grasping pointers or structures.. If you don't have a firm grasp on those you cannot mod like chosen or I do. EDIT: not trying to beat anyone down with this comment, I'm just giving out the facts, trying to mod with very little experince will lead to frustraions and headaches and will cause you to quit programming all together. Starting as a beginning programer and your first program is to make a mod for a commercial game, will not be a fun one, you will mostlikey break more things than you entend to mod from the get go. EDIT2: Just for got programming isnt just trying to tell the program what to do, it also involves math, with the mod you want to do, it requres good knowledge of vectors, if you don't know what vectors are then you need to learn them. Vectors are part of linear Alebgra, and are a CRUCIAL part to the 3d gaming industry with out vectors/matrices, or math in general we would have no computer games. _______________ When a Man lies he murder's some part of the world.
