ok i just now read n00b's post the whole way threw (lol sorry dude). I found a nice dice program, actually, that I thought would work well before I talked to Italian Ice. Check it out: http://www.forsakenrealms.com/ When I had mentioned the idea, I had suggested First or Second Edition rules because they are what I presently own. I could use 3rd or 3.5, but I don't have those books. I would have to go out and buy them and then read them. Some people play Neverwinter Nights and I took a look at that engine, but the world and possibilities are too constrictive for RPG in my opinion. MSN messenger or some other online meeting software would be good for drawing diagrams, maps, and whatever. TS would be best for the voice, because it takes up little bandwidth and CPU, unlike Skype. Having voice chat would make the game come alive I think, just like face to face. Its been a notion I've been thinking about for a while, but never found anyone who was interested, UNTIL NOW. Why don't you guys who are interested e-mail me with days amd times you are available, including your time zone. Also send me what version you'd like to play and give me some comments about your experience with D&D. Although possible to get a 100 sided die a d100 is acctualy 2d10 (roll a 10 sided die twice) The first result is the 10s and the second is the units. no the armor wasnt in the rules the dm just makes something up to make the battle seem more realistic/fun/detailed well tahts not true, the rules did include thac0 I was just talking about skill checks _______________ It's funny how many people know they have the right to remain silent, yet never do. Those rules are.. wierd to say the least. They dont include factors such as Armour. d100???? holy crap! lol I'm not shure the rules i have learnded and the way i played was that if ur dex was 15 and you wanted to shoot an arrow or something that requierd dex, you would roll a d20. if the roll is higher than ur dex (15 in this exaple) then you failed it. now to add to the fun depending on how close you were to failing the dm would make up a story to go with it. like if i need a roll of 15 or lower, and i get 1, then the hit was very dramatic (but dose same damage). but if i roll 16 then i just bearly missed, infact you might say something like it bounced off there armor... _______________ It's funny how many people know they have the right to remain silent, yet never do. |
