Since I downloaded some of the academy packages in order to get on the academy servers, I no longer have my original bots in MP. The only ones I now have are Quinlan Vos and biker. Any way to get back my origanl bots(tavion, et al) that I've grown to love and admire? _______________ Do, or do not. There is no try! Okay, just wondering, cause sometimes if your connection is too slow and you live too far away, you will get that message. Usually the "server is for low pings" usually happens when you put the wrong password in, but since you said you can do it on the second try, that's not the problem. It's either the server lagging to death or your connection. Try resetting your modem and rebooting your PC. Other than that, I don't know what to say, you MAY just have to deal with it. OK! Originally , I was going to tell you I had a problem with that but I just tested something out to see if it was consistent. Originally, I thought I couldn't connect to the academy servers unless that option was "on". But it appears to be another issue. It seems that whenever I try to connect to the academy servers, I get the "awaiting challenge, server is for low pings" on the first try, regardless of other settings. If I *immediately* retry, without changing anything, then I can connect. This is odd, but it has been doing this for several weeks now. It happens for both the home and class servers. I'm sure it was from the academy server. The file was biker_scout_mst10.pk3. When I removed it from my base folder and reconnected to the academy server, it started to download again. Yeah, there arent any bot routes in the_academy map. Also, are you sure you got the "biker_scout.pk3" from us? But yeah, custom bots and ships will mess with the originals. The offending file is the biker_scout pk3! Whenever I add that one, it is the only bot available in all of my maps. When I take it out, all of my normal bots return! The Quinlan Vos bot does not affect the others. Also, why do the bots jump around *all* the time on the academy map? It's annoying to me since I *hate* jumping. _______________ Do, or do not. No, I don't mean the skins. All of my bots are gone! I will try to start deleting the pk3 files (one by one) that downloaded from the academy and see if that changes anything. Are you talking about the skins?? You downloaded our skinpack and now you have so many skins that when you go in game and want to select a skin and scroll all the way to the bottom you can't see the jk3 default models?? |

None of the academy files mess with your NPCs to my knowledge. Try reinstalling, or deleting whatever files you don't need to play on our servers, which would be everything except the_academy.
