This from HardCore Cheese... In case you don't know, BitTorrent is a P2P file sharing system similar to Morpheus or Kazaa. Quote: A group operating a BitTorrent tracker in Sweden got a takedown notice from Dreamworks, citing US law. Their response is priceless: As you may or may not be aware, Sweden is not a state in the United States of America. Sweden is a country in northern Europe. But a bitorrent tracker is not in any law violations if it is situated in sweden. What they failed to understand is that US law is not world law. Copyright law applies to Sweden as well as most countries in the world. Places where it does not, such as China, is where Piracy is rampant. Most companies with intellectual property rights to something will not do business with these countries due to that fact.
