The old gods are the only true gods. Nobody can respect a god who would not cast plague on the weak and encourage its subjects to wage total war. Capitalists thrive in times of war and have for centuries worshiped gods of warfare and strategy.
It is a secret many do not realize, but before we invade a much weaker country we make a blood sacrifice to the god NASDAQ who will in turn lower the slope of security and allow us to descend down upon our enemies like warriors on griffins. When we are in times of peace, we worship the Jones of Dow for he is the keeper of chaos. Regular tribute to this lord will cause other warring tribes to gather and make foolish attempts at our vast empire. In turn, we attack & conquer to boaster our resources. We also have many minor gods who support our other needs. One such god provides our great nation with weapons of unimaginable power which will never be used, but make others fear us. Another is the mighty god of poverty who forces the weak to pay an indefinite price for their uncontrollable fate. If your kingdom supports the old gods then our nations will remain neutral.
