Some of you may or may not like this idea. but how about theory classes, just setup in a mIRC room. and be full of questions for students and at the end a test which needs to be handed in to gain your "point"...what do you think...

I kinda know my fan fiction stuff as well (cept I call it reality not fiction  ), I've got some proper in depth stuff on jedi, and a recent adapation is of the seven forms of lightsaber combat, I think that would be a good idea because eventually it could possibly be tailored to the game, and a form of martial arts could be trained (sounds stoopid but if you're played the SPORK mod for JK1 you'll know what I mean)where moves are used in certain situations. so i guess people are liking the idea, and a few subjects are comming up..
History/lore are there any other subjects you wouldn't mind learning the blurb about I.e. general tactics, Light/Dark Force( learning about each ability pros and cons), Etiquete(how to behave where..) _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. I would agree. I think that if there are disagreements on what is being taught (major, not the "Um, wasn't that Bilbringi?" disagreements) then they be taken to forum or after class, much like a college class. Most do not all-out disagree in class (except for those damn philosophers). And most just save it for after class.
And I think in doing theory/history/lore, is to steer away from "viewpoints" and "opinion" and look at things in terms of what is actually there, to reference a book, etc. Like tonight someone online asked me "Did the Emperor come back after Return of the Jedi?" And I say, yes, it is in Dark Empire I and II, and Empire's End. But things may be open for interpretation, yet based in the facts of what is in the book, etc. The force is more like a theology/philosophy class, and those are always difficult to tackle. But, well, power to whoever takes that position. I'll give you my assistance as much as I can, and what you need. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. About the only real problem I can see with this is that depending on what you cover some students could greatly disagree with the instructor on certain subjects. There are several things that are subject to interpretation. Just ask Kalheka how differently me and him look at the Force. So my only suggestion for students is to take the classes if you want to learn something you didn't know before, not going to a class you already know everything about and just want to try and show up the instructor or disagree with on what they are teaching. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. Well, someone called for a resident expert in Jedi Lore? Many looked to me as such about a month ago, but I haven't posted anything lately.
I've got most of the fan fiction, as well as books, I could very well try to field questions. I'd rather stick to a planned lesson, since some uestions may take me a while to research. In terms of history, one needs to remember that much of the Order's origins are cloaked in mystery and folklore. The records of the Jedi, once kept in the great libraryon Ossus, were destroyed by the Sith four thousand years before the Battle of Yavin. In addition to their origins, over the years the Jedi have lost a large amount of their history, lore, and artifacts. Most of this was due to destruction wrought by the Sith, more of it due to the Jedi Purge carried out by the Emperor. although we'd have to setup another mIRC room..something like
#JA_classes or something...i'm guessing at the begginning we'd have to limit class numbers or every man and his cat would be in there and the JAT would have a lil trouble getting answers from everyone.. _______________ .Lag Bro to Xanatos. i'd like that a lot of classes consist of a lot of theory too already, but 100% theory classes would be nice.
