hmmm, might it be possible to add a timezone to the list for Indiana? Most of Indiana is on EST (NOT Eastern Daylight Time), which is essentially GMT-5 without any daylight savings changes.

Why would you "hate to tell me"? :) I never said there weren't other places that didn't follow it. You're right, an enable/disable checkbox for DST would probably be the most efficient solution.

Actually, I don't know of a European country that doesn't follow it.. but I'm not completely sure on that.

Delta I hate to tell you this but there are more people than just Indiana that don't do Daylight savings. Several or most European countries don't follow it so we would need more than just Indiana. The best method would be a check box to enable Daylight Savings or not. I think though that it would be low on priorities of site modifications though.

I know, it would just be nice to have a timezone setting that didn't adjust for DST. There's also that fact that GMT (technically) doesn't change for DST either, but the site changes automatically even though it says GMT. :) But I'm a nickpicky sob. :)

Yeah, and then if you don't have daylight savings, just change your time zone again. :D That should work. :)

Just change your GMT offset to -5 when you edit your profile. They have offsets for every hour, so, you should be able to find what you need. :)
