my new prof pic in the JA is a small article on the JA from the infamous UK pcgamer! it reads:
The jediacademy.net is organised training for people who want to play the Jk games at another lvl. Run by a handful of plyrs forming a self styled "jedi council" they induct trainees and provide 1-2-1 tuition according to a system that mirrors the padawan/master relationship. students progress through the ranks via tests of skill and eventually become masters to their own apprentices. Life imitates art. HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! :D

Yeah, they'd have to be a member to understand exactly what happens here. :)

Swedish PC Gamer in fact. :)

It was quite some time ago, I guess PC Gamer UK just nicked the article. :D But publicity is always good.

this is a very old article i showed DJ when i read it i think, kinda late posting about it tho :P and they didnt just mention this place so it wasnt too old, they even mentioned JASE aswell. Altho the info about the JA could of been Copy - Pasted from another piece of media i suppose.

Edit.
Btw it isnt a whole article, its in a little sub article explaining some places to go and check out JK online, the main article was about Duelling on Jedi Outcast.

I believe in fact checking.

The guy that wrote that wasn't a journalist as such. He's just as very good writer. And the article was written some time before, so it was pretty old when we published it.

Actually, I'll add a little more to this - the article that the smaller blurb was included with was an experiment that worked very well. In addition to the main piece, we asked him to summarise places to go if the article made you interested in the game. There really was no way to explain the complexities of The JA in that small of a space. It was extremely limited.

However, it did kick off a new wave of interesting articles and ideas for the writers to explore. After a redesign, we were left with a 20-page section at the end of PCG UK called Extra-Life, that focused on gaming cultures.

Why am I telling you this? I recently re-read the original piece, and read the blurb for The JA. I've convinced my editor that we need to take a futher look at the, which is why I'm here right now.

Yeah, they probably glanced at the site and figured we're structured like a clan, but that's okay. I have yet to meet a journalist who believes in fact-checking.

But anybody who sees the article and is halfway interested can come check out the site and find out all about us. There's no such thing as bad publicity.

Nah it's not the old ranking system. The magazine probably just glanced at our site and made up a description based on looks. They half got it right and totally got it wrong.
