 A funny thing happened the other night. I was in a server playin around and what not when a guy came in and was totally pwning everyone and Im not even exaggerating...He had like over 100 frags and maybe 20 losses if that. Well he eventually challenged me and he came at me while I was bowing  ...anywho...He was jumping and swinging and got in a few good hits on me well he was waiting to do that jump/overhand slash thats basically an instant killer when instead I strafed to the right then ran up and did a saber uppercut  killed him instantly and got the "....noob" comment. So I said "Duel again" and he naturally agreed....so we duel again....I still bow lol but he didnt like I thought....I ran around some...dodged his swings like a champ for once....waited for the perfect opportunity to strike then whaabaaaaam uppercut...."Player X was killed by Ekim Srettes" lol. After another duel or so he got mad and left me a lovely comment like "You f***ing n00b...ur using hacks...this rooms gay." ....player x disconnected. I love it when people come in and act bad and lame and cuss everyone out then you just annilhiate them with blue stance LMAO_______________ 4/20/2005----Left the academy because I did'nt feel welcomed. I use dual blades and i find that red users and staffs are a nghtmare to beat (could be because i am not very good but....). I find the only way to beat red stance is to wait for an opening. Try to play to your opponents style. If they jump around a lot, try to judge where they tend to land and pop in a scissors, hopefully they land right on top or in front of you. VEry funky! For staffs......dunno, i woudl say wait for an openign but there are't very many. |

Countering BF's... Im not sure wether this works or not, but heh, just maybe ^^ At the end of a BF (not the sideways BF, but the froward 1) there is a spin, meaning the staffer's back is exposed. Now, you can hit that with a well-timed overhead, sciccors, or uppercut. (For as far as i know :/) Just not when they spin their mouse Again, Im not entirely sure wether this works or not  _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. On the BWN servers is where I encounter the most butterfly spamming and mouse sensing staff saber users. My usual tactic with dual sabers, if I spot it in time is just to us the duals kata. Don't spin the mouse or anything (like most people do when they use it  ) just keep your focus on the staffer and their butterfly gets completely blocked while you do a fair amount of damage to them. Of course it depends on the mods damage and deflection settings, so bear that in mind, but I have also had success with this move on JA servers. However on JA servers you don't get 90% of staffers doing butterflys and then spinning aimlessly, so I haven't had the chance to use it tht often (luckily ).With single, which I'll admit I'm not so good with, I just try to stay out of the way of the butterfly until right at the end. Then there is a gap on their last flip that you can hit (unless they are spinning ) and just try to cut through with a red uppercut. I don't know how good this tactic really is, but sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't. I guess it's in the timing. _______________ A wizard did it. |

I havnt found a good counter against staffs BF yet...i was actually hoping someone would help me (and there were a few ppl who said stuff like: yea next time imma show u uber leet counter vs BF!). But errr...nvm...im still working on it myself. Dual BFs are pretty easy to counter, imo.Just add an overhead at the end of their BF and they should be dead...or at least injured =) Ive made pretty negative experiences with using a lunge against a staff BF...could be just me tho...as pointed out above > im still working on it. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Time to add my opinions =D The first thing you should definately avoid is frustration.If someone beats u in a gay way...you can do 3 things. 1) Ignore it and try to beat him the next time. 2) Leave the server and join another one. 3) Beat him in your own dirty way. Lets just say...there is someone who spamms BFs constantly (and lets just assume hes some sort of newbie who is just randomly spamming them...and yes there are other ways of spamming BFs which are even more mean then the random spam...like...starting the BF directly infront of you while spinning like a mofo...ive seen it all lol)...and you fall into them and get beaten. Theres one conclusion you SHOULD draw from that experience... If he beats you with random BFs...then it just means that you arnt able to counter them correctly.And if you cant counter them correctly...then it just means you have to work on that. Ask a JAK+ or one of your fellow students to help you with that problem and im sure youll come up with a good counter...and once u got good at countering BFs...make the spammers pay. If someone notices that his move isnt working at all...then i guess hes gonna stop doing it and change tactics (or not...which is even better for you). For me, its like...if someone adds dirt to the game (like poking/swaying/spinning/wiggling/spamming) then im gonna answer with dirt.Maybe its just me (im sure it is) but im kinda fed up with beeing unable to beat pokers and spinners the "clean" way.Yes, there are methods to beat them...and it requires tons of skill to beat someone like that...but if hes gonna choose that path, then im gonna show him that it requires no skill at all to beat him and his way of fighting (and maybe make him realize how poor it is to fight like that).
