AHHH Help!

I found the folder, but it is acting screwy. I put it into the base, but then the gamedata folder came under files to be written. What do I do?

Ok...I started extracting the version 4 conversion map zip thingy, and then a new box popped up, saying that the folder JAcompatible_JAmapv4.pk3 is password protected. Now what?

ok, lets try this again ;)

what exactly are you trying to do?

to use the academy map...until it changes tomorrow ;)

you, install the game, and extract anything you want to add (eg maps hilts etc) to the installation folder, in gamedata, then the base subfolder.

then it is finished and you can play,

hope that helps.

Um, it doesn't go on a CD. It goes in you LucasArts/Jedi Academy folder. Once you install everything is there, all you need to do is the map to your base folder.

Okay, I found the academy and put it in the gamedata/base folder. Gamedata is still under Files to be Written to CD. How do I get it on the cd?

Oh yeah, I also have tons of the_academy files, zips and folders, in My Documents.

Okay, let's not confuse ourselves.

So, once you've downloaded the zip file, simply extract the contents to the Gamedata\base directory in your game's folder. :)

...The Academy map. 'It' is the Academy map.
It didn't copy the folder, the folder moved.

And yes, the game starts, I am trying to get the Academy map so I can get on the servers. Sorry for not clarifying.

Specificaly:
"I found the folder, but it is acting screwy."
the base folder right ? What does "screwy" mean exactly

"I put it into the base,"
Define "it"

"but then the gamedata folder came under files to be written."
By this do you mean it started copying the game data folder?, where was it coppying it to?

Gamedata came under files to be written? I'm not sure what you mean by that. It's not like you can drag the gamedata folder into the base folder. I'd uninstall everything, then delete your LucasArts folder found under Program files, cause it will keep any custom pk3s and such. Then reinstall.

Well, I gotta kind of confused with what you said. So I hope what I say helps. Is the game starting at all? If not, probably reinstall the game. If it is starting, whats the matter with it? Now due to this topic, im guessing your game isnt starting. :P So i would suggest reinstalling. If the problem still continues, contact me and I'll walk you through some steps that may work in your base folder. :)
