Can anyone Help with my Log in problem, When I load the Game and join the server, it loads ok, then on awaiting snap shot, comes up with invalid game folder, IVe installed all the PK3 files for the servers skins and such like, but normally the game defaults to Kyle when the model isnt installed, and it runs fine on my own PC in play solo game... can anyone help..? _______________ We all have dark times, its how we deal with them now that shapes what kind of jedi we become. |

Yes, Ive re-installed it, and it was in a different Folder so it cant reference anything from the registry that belongs to the old installation, so im scuppered, Ive gotta sort my CD out :-( _______________ We all have dark times, its how we deal with them now that shapes what kind of jedi we become. |

I run off a Backup of my JK2 (on someone else's pc) and it works just as well. I'm pretty sure that it should work, if you copied it completely actually. Well, I've copied my Jedi Academy disk to use it on my brothers computer. It didn't work, but got another error, which means for sure I shouldn't be copying it. Anyway, if it was copied using a program which copies the entire CD, and not the part which stops you from using it, then you shouldn't have a problem. |

Well, thanks for all the posts, Looks like its because Im running off a back up copy, my disk1 got a crack in it, but I got copy of the disk off a friend, You wouldnt belive what you have to do to get Lucasarts to replace the disk, send the disk, and recipt for the game, and I think pay for it :-( as you can imagine I thought a back up would be ok, as it works on alot of public servers, argh., I gotta send the game back now, so I dont think I will be in the servers on JA for a while, Lucky I have the JO too. _______________ We all have dark times, its how we deal with them now that shapes what kind of jedi we become. |

err, yeah That probably means you have a corrupted PK3 in your Base folder. Try deleting those you really don't need. You only need the_academy_V2 to play on our servers, no other files are needed. If you feel unsure about deleting those, copy them to some other map, and import them again one by one. That way you can find the corrupted one pretty quick. If you paste one in your Base folder, try to connect, and if it works, that PK3 is safe. You can try that for every PK3 if you wish, or you can just delete them. Your choice.
