Once, I met this person on the servers, we duelled a bit, but I had to leave, I had to disconnect. I posted on his profile a bit later to thank him for the fun. He replied. To me, he was yet another one of those at the Academy. A wonderful person indeed, but nothing more than an internet persona in my mind. Over time I grew lazy, I didn't feel the need to log in on the servers, I hardly ever logged in on MSN, and January came along. The news came as well. Yes this person was Vladarion. I never got to know him, but I could have, had I not been lazy. I could be telling you all fond memories of back in the days when we were having fun, I could tell you all the funny stuff we did on TS, on the Servers and on the Forums. But I can't. I hardly even knew Vladarion, besides one meeting and some posts on the forums. I did not take up the chance I received to meet him, and for that, I am ashamed. A little bit after his death, I met this girl called Greet. I, normally, would never have had the courage to speak to her. Who would? She was weird, in every sentence of the word. Heck, I thought she was nuts. However, she added me to my MSN, and I came online more often. We chatted about everything we could, and eventually, time came, when we took a trip with our school. A trip to Canterbury & Dover (England). There, we had fun, with our entire class, and on our journey back taking the train, I learned that on the train, she kissed some French dude who made a pass at her. The pain was like a knife going through my heart and needless to say, I had a pretty grim memory of the entire weekend after that. I hated her after that, and pretty harsh words were said between us. However, about a week later, another school activity kind of forced us to work together in a great search. There, I asked (in a hidden way of course) if I actually had a shot with her. I had to ask three times (to keep a long tale short) but eventually, she said yes, we kissed, and we have been dating ever since. That was 9.5 months ago. I can't describe in words how happy I am to have her, and I can't say how glad I am that I did take up the chance of asking her. So my friends, the whole point I'm trying to make here is: be nice to everyone, chat as if they are your friends, because in the long run, you may be able to meet some of your best friends right here, under your very nose. Don't look at anyone as just an internet persona, but talk to them as you would in real life. Take up every chance you get for friendship and love. Don't ever let it go to waste my friends. For a wasted opportunity could harvest a wasted time. Go out there, make your shot at finding through love, and if love hurts you, laugh in its face and say you will never stop loving. i got the nerve up to ask this girl (that i've had a crush on for over a year) for her phone number last week. she gave it to me. but when i called she told me she had a boyfriend.  regardless, now she knows i like her. she would have never known had i not asked...one never know what might happen.here's to hope! _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! |
