Of course the darkside does not contain unlimited power beyond imagination, its just that it is so much harder ro master the light force since it relies on thing that all take patience, time, dedication and selflessness. The dark side is simply like putting lights, It is easier to blow out a candle in a room during midnight than it is to make light bright enough that it blinds you. So absolute overwhelming pure unlimited light is much harder to do than it is to have just pure darkness. This is a good metaphor for the dark since it power comes more imeediately. You noticed how every with dude is over confident, Darth Maul gets sliced in half because he is over confident, Anakin is full of him self with the dark side and gets his leg chopped off when he tries doing a flip over Obiwan and Yoda qoutes "You think to highly of your dark side power" (or something like that) The sith actauly do not know the power of the light side ironicly enough for what there catch is to have people join the dark side. Sure you may say that Siduis did 'beat' Yoda, but that was a fluke also not to mention that Yoda is not necessary the best fighter "he is as wise as Yoda and as strong as Mace Windu" After all Mace Windu foought Sidius with pure sword play without the fancy flips or anything, while Siduis was even doing a few flips, and Mace Windu isn't nearly as old as Yoda. After all Yoda fell off the thing only becausue he was 'caught short' (althugh if Yoda was thinking he could of rotating the floating platform sideways so that he could stand on it.)Also ironicly enough when lights burn out, the dark side actauly burns out since it relies on emotion and anger. If your not angry going all out your dark side is going to be quite weak in a sense, also being angry can allow you to make careless mistakes ( like Anakin trying to flip over Obiwan ) If you havnt died yet from being careless, you eventaully will not longer be motivated to fight hard anymore without some form of anger. Well personally, from reading books and studying Jedi history the fallen Jedi seems to apeal more to me. their stories are so much more tragic and they can still be heroes, but give in to their feelings. i'm gonna go with Sith but not the traditional pure evil Sith. |
