Now i watched the SW trilogy on DVD during the week, and well does Boba fett die at the mighty sarlac or is that just a n00b bounty hunter?? i never really paid much attention to the lesser characters in SW. I hope i am mistaken but im not sure i have seen many other Bounty Hunters except Greedo in the first one.

Good point, A'Sharad Hett. The Expanded Universe says that Boba got out of Sarlacc after a while, and there's even a "Star Wars Unleashed" series Hasbro figure showing that event.

The difference is, Jango's cooler than Boba. Also it's impossible for Luke to die (there's site somewhere detailing that humorously, I'll try and look it up), so he would have saved everyone anyway.

I saw an interview with George once where he said he considered Boba dead.

Anyway, it is clear that ole Boba was long since digested before Jango's uberness was flushed out. Otherwise, if Boba had been written in Ep VI as Jango was in the EU, every single one of the heroes would have died on that skiff and the movie ends 30 minutes in, and that ain't no fun.

Tales of the Bounty Hunters is probably the single most worthless set of Star Wars stories I've ever read. Things around those stories are very convoluted and distorted about things, such as boba fett being some guy named jaster mareel. For a good set of novels based around Boba Fett, I'd recommend the bounty hunter wars trilogy. They're based right around the events of Return of the Jedi, dealing with Fett's recovery after the sarlaac along with a few flashback sequences to other event.

^^^to whoever said that...u see that was an IDENTITY he used...jaster mareel was a mandalorian warrior (boba and jango wear mandalorain armor) who trained Jango...

also if u read the comics and the novels (newer ones) the EU says he lived...movies...yes he died..but in all the strwars universe...from comics to novels (games relle arent considered part of the universerse...cept maybe some kyle stuff are) he is alive...and has SLAVE IV...

go to the star wars site..the databank...tells u everything...and yes it is for marketing reasosn they kept em alive...but hey...he is alive..even it is for jus lucas makin some $$$...

I think Mace Windu went for the only weak spot in the suit, which would be the end of the chest and start of the helmet, there would be a unguarded part with no protection, i guess mace knew this and thats why he went for that area.

Also my curiousness isnt wiht Boba so much its just Bounty Hunters are suppose to be extremly skilled hunters so i didnt expect him to die like that ( if he did die that is )

And in Star Wars Bounty Hunter game Jango is extremly strong and skilled :) if lucas didnt think too much to them characters he wouldnt allow his company to make a game on it would he???

my mistake, i meant he wore metalloid armour, (but i'm not sure if it is cortosis, the only metal that can withstand a saber blade). Besides, the Sarlaac has a very long throat, I would imagine. Fett being the freakishly skilled bounty hunter that he is, would probably react fast enough to keep away from the digestive acids.

actually, I believe the armor was made of an alloy something closer to Vader's armor: an alloy of cortosis and durasteel. It must have been a little weaker though...seeing as how Mace's lightsaber effortlessly passed through Jango's armor in ep II.

tbh, hes a minor, not very cool character, who died, and because a certain number of star wars fans for some reason couldnt let it go (:P), in order to make more money George Lucas agreed to let him live on in the expanded universe. I really don't believe he survived, and the only reason any EU author would say different is to take your hard earned money.

In case you can't tell, I never understood the whole Boba Fett phenomenon, always seemed very wooden and two dimensional to me, and played a ludicrously small part in the films. Of course if you wanna change my mind and show me how uber-cool and kick-ass he is feel free to try :D.

well, it would make sense if boba fett survived, because, well, it would make sense. He's made of metalloid armour, and why couldn't he just shoot the sarlaac in the throat and just jetpack out.

The only times you play as Kyle during Vaders lifetime is Darkforces one and two. Which comes to the conclusion that the boba Fett you meet in jk3 is either an imposter like you say (which i doubt :S) or a clone maybe?... I doubt anyones actualy gonna have the real answer so we might as well leave it be. :P

That is one of the mysteries of jk3... wtf is boba Fett doing in it? Still I stand by my word that Boba Fett is dead, and not much could persuade me otherwise. Even seeing him in a video game set after his death.

Plus you've got to take into consideration that Raven need to make the game more interesting, and to be honest, he doesn't have any relevance to the story. :)

Facts about different events in Boba Fett's life are supposed to be contradictory and shrouded. It's this very mystery that makes Fett such an intriuging character.

If only one story about Fett was accepted as true, where's the fun in that? There isn't one book in the Expanded Universe that's more true than another. Star Wars fans are encouraged to read all these books and form a view of a certain character that suits themselves.

The true story of Star Wars is the one we write for ourselves.
