You don't need a master to be able to learn. Just turn up on one of the servers when others are on, see whats up and ask if anyone can give you some pointers. There are heaps of players on our servers that have enough knowledge of single to teach you competently, but that aren't knights and therefore won't be taking on official padawans. Just hang around, get to know them and learn as much as you can from them. Remember, a master usually is or becomes friends with their padawan, so if you have someone who is a good teacher, and who you get along with, that is basically the same thing as having a master. :)

Posting in the "Looking for a master" thread doesn't mean that you will get a master, it just means that people may look out for ya. If you play on the Academy's servers regularly, then you've got a much higher chance of someone taking you on.

Good luck. :)
