We have a small group of students selected to put together a new skinpack for the JA. These guys will be working through the next couple of weeks to make a smaller yet better skinpack. Suggestions are welcome

Here our your objectives, you must be done by March 12th:
1. Trim down the skinpack to a size no greater than 40mb
2. Remove worthless/unsuable/not used pk3s
3. Replace pk3s that have better/newer versions
4. Add whatever is good as long as you meet the size limit.

Phase 1: Cuts
Deadline: March 5th @ 2400 UTC

Each member of the cleanup crew will vote on every pk3 in the current skinpack list. You will vote to either keep that pk3 or remove it. On the 5th @ 2400 UTC (GMT), voting will cease and all votes will be tallied. Skins will be removed if they recieve more than 50% of cutting vote. You will post your voting results here in this thread.

Phase 2: Updates
Deadline: March 9th @ 2400 UTC

For the skins that are staying, we will look for newer/better versions of them. Post which pk3s you'd like to provide updates for in this thread (please include links to a page with screenshots/pk3 to the newer one). All update submissions will be in by March 9th @ 2400 UTC. The cleanup crew will then have 1 day to vote yay/nay on each proposed update. Votes will no longer be taken by March 10th @ 2400 UTC. The passing updates will be added to the skinpack.

Phase 3: Additions
Deadline: March 11th @ 2400 UTC

With what space is left after cuts and updates, the crew can propose new additions to the skinpack. Additions can no longer be proposed after March 9th @ 2400 UTC. Then each member will vote on each proposition. On March 11th @ 2400 UTC, votes will be tallied and additions made based on which ones have the most votes (until we reach the size limit).

Phase 4: Assembly
Deadline: March 12th @ 2400 UTC

The new skinpack will be put together. It will be uploaded to all JA servers replacing the old skinpack and the Servers page will be updated. A newspost will be made announcing the update.

I am hoping that the Anikin good and bad is still in there you know the padawan robe and the dark robe... You should also try to get skins of padawans and masters... remove some of the jango boba stuff way 2 much and cut some of the clone trooper stuff 2....need to add some bad guy looking skins Revan or Malak would be a good start....

It seems like every other day a new or better skin comes out and although they are great I think we need to let the guys finish testing the ones they have, put them into the servers and then deal with up grades as they come. I'd just like to see this project finished.

Okay everyone, I've taken the liberty of throwing together a new server pack. It contains some new Episode III skins, as well of alot of the ones from the current server pack. I took out alot of redundant skins, as well as ones that are never used such as the clone troopers and droids. Send me your feedback. You can download it here.

ok, the skinpack has been uploaded to henkes' server.

we basically need to set a deadline for the end of testing, at while point ill take in teh feedback and general concensus. if the testers are all happy with it, the pack is done, if not, the cleanup crew need to trim teh bad models, replace them, keeping the pack under the size limit and the new pack will be retested. this will eb repeated until we have a good pack.

im a lot harder to reach now, im rarely on irc, but contact me on msn, or via email. im pretty sure everyone concerned has at least one of my emails. if now, ask sete to give you it

We'll see how the testing goes. If more have to be removed or w/e and we have a)space and b)time we can look at getting these in.

Yeah downloaded some of these the other day but thought it a bit late for skin pack, although maybe they could replace the ones chosen for these as they are far better.

I would also like to say in the defence of yoda lovers that there are certain aspects of yoda being short and having a huge heads gimps him

Not to forget his ears will count as head shorts and his head is huge, but it is just the right height for a common slice, so for yoda a torso hit would be a heat shot for him (ouch for yoda)

Also now atack penatlies yoda receieves from being shorter.;. his arms are shorter so he has slighlty shorter reach, which can actauly make all the difference. Also not to mention that all of yodas slices are going to be leg and some times torso shot when he doesa high height atack, because he is so short he is like atacking your legs all the time.

So, yes he may be harder to hit, but normal build character can take advantage of his shortness and his huge head factor. ( Now yoda in instagib would just be wrong ) So my opinion playing yoda would just be cool, not an advantage. So that is why I voted for the yoda skin to go in and be playable on the academy server
