In that tutorial, at Gizmo part you say "Now you're going to want to resize and rotate that square a little. So use your Move and Rotate tools to make the square look something like the image below" <-- You don't say how to resize it. Gmax is what the tutorial was originally intended for, but you could try another program, even though Gmax is a common, but rare-to-find, free and easy-to-use modeling program. |

... or just open it in pakscape ... Seriously, I'm not kidding, just use any version of pakscape. It'll be faster and more efficient, and supports creation of pk3 files in a more ordinary way. It's quite easy to use. There really is no excuse. /me slaps Setementor upside the head _______________ A wizard did it. |

If you're running Windows XP, be sure the 'Hide extensions to known file types' option in Tools > Folder Options > View > Advanced settings is disabled, then right-click on the file (assets1.pk3), select 'Rename' and add the extension of .zip to the end (should be assets1.pk3.zip), right-click it again, select 'Extract All...' and follow the steps. After this, you'll want to remove the .zip extension so that the game can load properly. If this extract option doesn't exist on your version of windows, try again adding the .zip extension to the file, but instead extracting them by hand (create a new folder (right-click > New > New Folder), open assests1.pk3.zip, select all of the files and drag them into the recently-created New Folder.) You can also rename the new folder containing the extracted files to 'assets1', to make it easier to find. Again, you'll want to remove the .zip extension for the game to run properly when finished. |
