Reinstalling jk3 | |

Well, I uninstalled jk3 quite a while ago, but not long ago I felt a sudden urge to reunite with my fellow JA friends, and have some real jedi academy fun once again . But after my painful journey of digging through untouched space of "The big pile of junk in the corner(tm)" and finally putting the disc in the E: drive, and choosing the "English" option following with choosing the "Install" option, I get a window showing me the following: "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all of its components?", and a choice of "OK" and "Cancel". If I choose "OK" I get notified that the game has been uninstalled. And then if I try to install the game again, I get the same thing. If I choose "Cancel" the process shuts down. There is no Lucas Arts folder, but there are two JEDIACADEMY.EXE files in C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch wich come back when I delete them. If you can find a solution to my problem, PLEASE post it here. Thanks in advance. ~Selph |

No idea, but if you keep hitting 'Find Next' until you reach the end of the Registry, you're guaranteed to get them all. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

Well I found two lucasarts folders in my registry but there prolly are more that I can't find... It would be great to have a list of where LucasArts is in the registry. |

Let it uninstall if that's what it wants to do. The n reboot and try again. If all else fails, grep, er, I mean, search the registry for 'LucasArts' and remove anything you find. Don't worry about WINDOWS\Prefetch. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

Well, I'm not really sure. It tries to uninstall when you attempt to install? Sounds pretty weird if that's the case... This comment was edited by Setementor on Mar 15 2005 11:50pm. |
