that would work, but is a bit overkill as it lets ALL traffic into your pc. just add an exception for jkja on that port from and to all ips for inbound and outgoing traffic

I have no idea what port's or router's are I got my ip from whatismyip.com then I connected the way Gradius Said then did /showip in console and got 10.0.0.1 which was totaly diferent. I would try Sete's way but your link in 2) is'nt working, I like the idea of just clicking on a short cut. Is there a guide for complete idiot's.:)

I don't use the in-game Server Setup. Anyway, I'll write a few steps so that you can boot up your server with the click of your mouse:

1) You mentioned in your post that you know about the port stuff, so make sure that port 29070 is open if you're running on a router.

2) Download this package and extract the contents.

3) Move the jampDed.exe file into your Gamedata folder.

4) Place the server.cfg file into your game's Base folder.

5) Return to your Gamedata folder and right-click on the jampDed.exe file, select 'Create Shortcut' and move the shortcut over to your Desktop.

6) Right-click on the executable file and select 'Properties'. In the 'Target' column should be something like "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\jampDed.exe", just add ' +exec server.cfg' (without the quote marks) to the end of it.

7) Apply the changes and double-click the file. If done correctly, the server should run without any problems.

Now, you'll probably want to edit your server's settings, so open your base folder and find the server.cfg file, then open it. You can edit this as you please. :D

Okay, this is what you do.

First thing, if you're using a router, I'm not too sure but I think you still need to know your normal IP address, not your router's.

Alright, open the game in multiplayer. Next, go to "Play," then "Create Game." From this first screen, set the name, map, gametype, etc.

Next, to to "Advanced." Set up your combat and connection rules. Now, under "Server Rules," click "Dedicated Server" until it says Internet. Set a password if you want. Then click "Done," then "Begin."

Now, instead of your game going straight to the map, a console will pop up. This is your server console. Keep it open. Whoever is running the server can still play on that server. All you have to do is run a second task of the game and connect to your IP.

If people still can't connect to your server, then one of the following is your problem:

- You're running a router, and gave them your router IP.
- You gave them the wrong IP. To find your IP (if you're not using a router), go to your console, and type "/showip" without the quotes.
- You gave them the wrong port. The default port will always be 29070 unless you change it. To be safe, do "/netport" in your console, without the quotes.
- You're using a firewall. Disable it.
- Your connection can't handle an outside client other than yourself. If you use 56k, this will most likely happen. If you use DSL or Cable, you should be fine.
- You accidentally closed your server console, which shut down your server. Keep it open.

There may be other small things that I can't think of at the moment which would prohibit someone from connecting to your server. If you follow the steps I listed above, you should be fine. :)
