Sazabi, you said the exploits on maps were not supposed to be there. However, although this is probably true, it actually, could possibly be wrong. I enjoy finding out new exploits, as they are fun to do, and there are MANY of them on the default maps created for JA, however, strangely, you cannot do any of the same exploits on any maps made by players of the game. The way the maps are built are totally different. Erm...you cannot not roleplay in a RPG.Just because its called "RPG" and you automatically roleplay when playing the game. You can't roleplay in KOTOR, mainly because its single player. Also for crying out loud ive RPed in halo 2 ((and had peopel beg me to host 'day in the city' when I feel like just shooting people) i honestly do not liek RPing in RPGs, mainly ebcause I do not liek RPGs online or single player mos thte tiem.. you play alot and to gain mroe lvls... to play more. I rather RP with a solid game system, where in fights there is skill involved when they do com across. on xbox when we did RP, we would set the number of force points low, so that you would have appropiate abilitees to what you wanted to be illustatred as, and acrobatic would use up alot of there points in having a high jump, a guard woudl probally have high pull so he can confescate weapons and help him self chase criminals easier. A person skilled with a sword woudl just take lighsaber skill points adn focuse htem all there. NOw since at higher lvls abilites stat to cost more dramticly, it is easier to go jack of all trades, which is what a jedi or sith woudl be. have lvl 1 or 2 jump some saber skills some push and pull. and that about it, probally have no lvl 3s though. Then we tried to play as our character. ALthoguh it usauly just ened up in someone going around and shooting everyone, which really annoyed me. Also from what I can tell the only game that was ment to RP is NWN roleplay servers. That is where true constant RP happens, but I enjoy having soem quick RP in action absed games. I love playing RP in a FFPS, also how it FFA misleading? ive RPed in games with the name death match. Although FPS is not a game to have persistant long lasting RP, its more of a quick short fun RP. I mean its a FPS, it is ment to shoot stuff. But having fun and having a temporarily RP once in a while should be acceptable. I don't see the master/padawan or the JA as an RPG. I don't see anyone roleplaying inside the ranks. I see the ranks as a structure for the community. With more appropate names based around the game than rather having all JAK+ being call an admin. I think RC´s ending was really awesome.Yea it was another cliffhanger and yea we all should be sick of these by now...but i still liked it. Lucasarts has indeed lost the goldenness that it used to have. For example, notice KotOR 2's ending, you can obviously tell it was rushed for the holiday season because it was so abruptly ended. I won't go into detail. Why would you make such an incredible game and just end it like poop? It's their call to issue a patch, as it takes time, money, and resources. Lucasarts apparently didn't want to invest the time and money to patch the game. But IMO lucasarts has gone down the crapper the past few years anyway...so its expected from them... Yes its unfortunate some of these bugs exists, and I don't want there to be 100 different sabering systems that everyone has to learn based on what mod they play on.
