You guys seriously need new Forums, this stuff sucks. Its the most retarded forum system made. http://www.phpbb.com/ If you want to see a modded version check the ones I use on my forums http://www.mastersofthelightsabre.com/forums If you are using this forum system to keep people from posting on your forums its working. I come on your servers from time to time but these forums just plain suck. I know there are intellegent ppl who come here from time to time, cant they make some ones people will actually visit? Come on WHY are you using this forum system when its just plain lame. |

yep I agree that the forum the academy use is unqiue. Heres why it's unique dude: 1.The forums your clan uses is the most common forum setup almost every clan uses. 2.it's alot easier to set things up and use commands here in the academy forums. 3.DJ_Sith put his Soul into this to make this website and it's forums as great as possible 4.DJ_Siths forum is a custom made one he made himself so unless you have some sudjestions then this post is like throwing a match in to a can of keroscene. Considering the mood I am currently in, you should be happy I don't simply restrict your web access. The way you wrote this post, no matter WHAT the intention was, is simply wrong. I hope the next time you utter a word, it won't be in the same way, because if you find me in the same mood as I am currently in, your account will most likely be disabled. Quality does not equal quantity. Does PHPBB2 have more features? Sure. Do we need them? No, not at all. Kevin put a LOT of work in this website and these forums, and just a friendly reminder: they have been coded from scratch and are fully implemented in the website. No matter what your opinion might be, you should simply have more respect for someone that actually put a LOT of effort in this, instead of unzipping a package and clicking "install". My personal opinion, and I mean no offence to anyone by this, but I think that all the generic phpBB type forums are boring, prepackaged, and full of useless junk and loose ends. Maybe you don't like the site and the forums we have here. But they're the best I have seen, and I like them the way they are to be honest. Sure there are a few minor bugs and features that maybe aren't implemented to the best potential. But it's a lot better than the sea of newbie phpBB generic junk forums I see popping up everwhere. While I might not agree that they suck, they sure are not easier to use than the common forums, namely phpBB, for the mere reason that this one is differing from the inofficial standard. They are still easy to use, though. And some people here might overestimate the work needed to make a forum like this. It sure isn't a thing of a day or two, but if you have a good concept and database structure in your mind, it's mainly a matter of time. |

It's pretty rare to see a developer studying so well use cases for a hobby community application. It's like with your cell, do you really use often your camera ? Most of people are just using the address book, phone funtion and maybe some internet access and agenda  The only thing that I regret is not currently on the forum are watchs because they are usefull. Btw, I just checked out the links you posted. Those forums are on every clan's website. Every forum you see these days uses the same template. The forums in the JA are way better than the stuff you can freely get from the web, in my opinion. Not only do they have enough features but they're also easy to use. Now, next time you wanna point out something you think is wrong, try to build a structured argumentation (not saying "these forums suck" for example) and certainly not adding with arrogance that you have much better on your site or whatever. Think dammit, and next time you might even be able to post a decent message. Well, if noone visits these forums, how come we get 4-5 new posts on each of our sub forums just about every day? Thanks for the imput but I think that how it stands, it is not very valid. A lot of work has been put in this forum and it is quite disrespectfull to just come on it and bluntly say it sux. PHP is a premade forum and this forum has been coded from scrap and the work that has been put in it, is truly amazing. Well i must say that your approach to this certainly is bold and possibly not the best way to achieve an outcome. Personally from a computer scientist point of view i think the coding and implementation behind these forums is absolutly amazing, i couldnt do any better. Plus the most important feature...they serve the purpose we as a community ask of them. To be honest matey i wouldnt be suprised if this thread gets flamed, locked and ignored.
