Server connection Configs | |

A little idea of mine, probably done by a few of the programmer members of the Academy. In my Gamedata/Base folder i have a .cfg files called JKHOME.cfg. In that file are the following lines. password (Password) <- kept secret to not show the identity of the server's pw) Its the password to the home server. connect ip.ip.ip.ip:port (To keep ip of server secret). Replace it with the ip:port. and then when i load up the game, i simply type into the console. exec jkhome.cfg and bam, im connected to the home server. _______________ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- (Read error: Connection reset by beer) |

Quote: And in that same respect. you can bind keys while playing to switch servers. I would advise against it, unless you are going to use a key that you never use. Noone loves being disconnected by accident ![]() Tell me about it... I have K bound to "engage_duel", and right next to it... J bound to "quit". I should probably change that sometime. ![]() _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

Yea i used to have these sort of binds a few months ago...until ive stopped bothering with the home server =) Back then, ive always been forgetting which bind was for which server...so i usually ended up somewhere else because ive accidently hit the wrong bind. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! All Seeing Eye is easier in my opinion. Saves the password and IP's. Just don't let anyone else use your computer to connect to our servers. ![]() _______________ - Proud padawan of Kueller. - We really are at the beginning of it all. I believe JavaGuy used a similar method to create a shortcut on his desktop. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |
