yeah. that's what it says before my jkja crashes.

can't be in a server for longer than maybe 10 minutes at a time. after restarting several times it starts to crash in 1 minute intervals.

what i have tried:
reinstalling
factory settings
different configs
updating drivers

now... i don't know why this could be happening since i didn't change anything when or before this started to occur. anyone have any ideas to fixing this problem?

Try setting your desktop settings to 640 by 480 and High Color (16 bit).

Make sure that your running a clean boot with no background files running as well.

If after trying the above solutions the game still does not work, check the following:
1) Click on the Start button > Run and in the run box type "Sysedit" without the quotes and click the OK button.
2) When Sysedit comes up you should see a bunch of cascaded windows, select the window that says Win.ini above it.
3) The Win.ini window should come to the foreground, scroll through the list of items until you come to [DrawDib].
4) Look for a line under [DrawDib] that says DVA=0 and remove it.
5) Click File, then Save and close the Sysedit program.
6) Try the game at this point.

If you do not see the DVA=0 line under the [DrawDib] section, then this is not the cause of your problem. DVA stands for Direct Video Access, and is commonly set to 0 to fix issues with older games or video problems with old software. The only way to fix this is to remove that line. This should not affect anything on your system.

i've tried reinstalling from scratch, doesn't help. my system is not overheating, i know that because i have a good system temperature following panel. besides, my system is not crashing, only jkja. and again, i haven't made any changes in my system or any other settings (pretty sure, not 100% sure). but ok, here's some info:

ATI Radeon 9800 pro - omega drivers 2.5.97a
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ boxed 0.13u
2 x 512MB DDR 400MHz
EPoX 8RDA+

oh yeah... i usually play on windowed mode, but now since it started crashing i've tried to play on fullscreen too. resolution varies between 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024. crashes with all settings.

What exactly is your video card? Try downgrading your video drivers to the version before the current one, using Driver Cleaner to completely remove the ones you already have, and reinstall JKA, but delete the entire installation folder (Program Files\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy by default) before installing again to remove all mods and things, and see if it runs on base settings with no skins or anything installed.

giving the inside of your whole computer a thorough clean up with a can of spray air seems to be the answer to fixing things as of late (it is amazing how much dust can build up on the inside of those things). give that a try first :)

What resolution are you playing on?

Hmm, seems that you've tried everything. Does it happen on all servers?
