1) It's cool to be a guitar player.
2) Guitars don't talk. They only scream. 3) A guitar will never complain about you leaving the toilet seat up. 4) You can use a guitar to get a woman. Not vice versa. 5) All you have to do is flip a switch to turn a guitar on. 6) It's ok to have more than one guitar. 7) You can let your friends play your guitar. 8) If you break the g-string you don't have to go into a Victoria's Secret to get a new one. 9) Fathers with shotguns. 'Nuff said. 10) Infinite number of positions. 11) A guitar won't make you sleep on the couch. 12) Guitars get better with age. 13) You actually want to take your guitar out. 14) That whole time of the month thing. 15) You like your guitar's friends. 16) A guitar can't say no. 17) Your guitar will never ask for money. 18) Guitars fit in your trunk and under your bed. 19) You don't have to sit with your guitar and hold it when you're done. 20) It's ok to be caught with your guitar. |

I used to have a bass and a little tiny Gorilla practice amp. I didn't need to use any distortion or anything cuz the bass just overpowered the little thing. When I'd play some of the higher notes, my dog would "sing" along with me. He still had his hearing back then.

well, I still stick with my synths, but from time to time its fun to play some heavily distorted/fuzzed guitar action

well, if u use the JCM900's distortion and plug maybe a fuzz and this thing called "Big Muff" (woo-hoo), u dont even have to play chords.

lol...I know what you mean DJ. I can play maybe like 2 chords. During one rehearsal with my band at the time, we all switched instruments. I took the guitar which had overdrive all the way up, volume on like "11". I played one power chord and I felt like a GOD!!!

again i say that marshall stacks, or any stack for that matter, are a complete waste. they're only good if you spend another grand to get a stellar head and play live shows a lot.
Moral of the Story - Faded does not like marshall stacks. |

well, these JCM900 are neat indeed.
my bands guitar player has got a JCM900, with 2 marshall boxes, but he sold/swapped them. there's no need to be that loud

I play the frankenaxe! A freind of my uncle built it from the parts of various lesser Telecasters and gave it to my uncle in lieu of some money he owed him. My uncle is a guitar collector (he has about 35 or so guitars), so he gave me the guitar. I play it on a Marshall Valvestate 65. I really think that guitar is all I'll ever need. When I fall into a hill of money I'd buy a Marshall JCM 800 or 900 full stack. They're neat. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

my recommendation would be to look on ebay. that's where i got mine. since you're not crazy about sound or great playability yet, that is the place to look. my hamer was a great first guitar. i might also suggest a washburn or peavey. both are great learners. |

The only problem fizz, is that my piano was at my mother's house, so that move wouldn't work for me .
Faded-any recommendations for a 1st guitar? "well, do you like music ?" "yeah, I do." "so, would u mind if I'd play a song for you ?" "oooh that is sooo sweeeet" *gah* "well, _unfortunately_ I have my piano at my place...." "well, thats ok, lets just go there" there u are and those guitar folks can spend the night to think wheter the decision to play guitar was _that_ smart

One reason I want to learn guitar is to get some women to pay attention to me. It's tough to carry an upright piano around.

no one said anything about giving up women, bubu. they are a very integral part to a man's survival. no women = no men. simple. all we're saying is why, in some instances, it is better to have a guitar than a woman. now if someone is willing to come up with why women are better than guitars, i would love to hear about it. |
