hey guys, i'm shopping for a new monitor to pick up with my b-day cash. Has anyone been able to find a really nice, 17-19" one with nice contrast ratio (around 500:1), low response time (8ms, lower prevents "ghosting" i found this at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824009039 looks like a good deal to me, has the DVI and 8ms that i want, and a decent contrast ratio. anyone have any advice, tips, or comments about getting a good flat screen? also found this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116352 no DVI though! _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! Sounds like everyone is talking about the Samsungs so I just wanted to agree with them! I don't have a samsung LCD but I am on my 3rd CRT and man they are awesome, if you can find a Samsung that fits the budget then I say that is the way to go. T. _______________ Tamal |

Quote: Tough stuff to find in your price range. The SyncMaster line has some amazing ones with 4ms response time! there's a ton in that range actually. especially 17", ok so not a ton. but at least 5 or so. i'm willing to go just above $250 ie $280 range. 4ms is just insane, especially price wise and Krazzed, thanks for the very helpful and constructive post. /sarcasm _______________ this is the internet, be serious damn it! |

I have the Samsung SyncMaster 913N. It has no DVI, but I don't mind that, I love it. It's 19", and it is probably out of your $250 price-range. _______________ I am the purifier, the light that clears all shadows. The most inactive active member of the JA. |
