I have used that one before. It cost me like $10 and it lasts for years. It was pretty damn good. The Steelseries qck+ that I have now is just a touch better though imo. _______________ I fite for teh usars!1 |

Having used aluminium before I can say the effect is far more profound on those pads. When you first get them it's like gliding on air. Within a week or two it's worn in to crap and your mouse practically sticks to it.
I'd say cloth is best. Hard plastic like fUnc or Steelpad S&S is roughly second best. Aluminium and the weird, treated space metals they use are honestly the worst. They work amazing, but only for the first few days and you need to use specialized mousefeet or feet tape(which both fall off pretty quick) to get the most from them. _______________ I fite for teh usars!1 |

Haha, no I finished beta the same time as everyone else. I've begun my summer semester at Uni though (yes I study while everyone else is sitting at home chilling) so I haven't been on IRC or the forums much.
Go for the steelseries 4HD or the QCK+ bro. Cloth pads take a lot more wear and tear and maintain their consistency longer than hard pads in my experience. When plastic takes a beating it loses shape and smoothness instantly and is never the same again. Then it becomes inconsistent and you have an area (usually the middle where you use it the most) that is slower than the rest and find yourself rotating your pad constantly on your desk to find the corner you haven't worn in yet. Cloth pads just don't do that, they stay the same and generally last years longer before becoming significantly worn. Though some people swear by hard surfaces, I always found myself replacing them after a few months.
