Note to concerned parents: Sex offender registries are completely useless as a means of determining if a real sex offender lives in your neighborhood.

Other cases of "sex offenders" have included a guy who mooned somebody for a fraternity prank--public indecency sure, but when rapists and child molesters are lumped into the same category it makes it impossible for concerned citizens perusing the registry to learn if there is a real live Bad Guy living in our neighborhood.

In the United States, i'd think so yes. I'll attempt to find the details on it today, then edit this post with the link.

Another fault of humanity it seems, but then again this report could be biased... who knows, maybe he did intend to sexually abuse the girl, however I don't really beleive that, he was driving somewhere initially and swerved out of the way at first? Wouldn't that suggest the encounter was not planned, therefore he had no initial intention of approaching the girl at all?

"because of the proclivity of offenders who restrain children to also commit sex acts or other crimes against them."

It is also foolish to group every incident with the outcome of the majority from the past. Besides, did they know the man's intentions? Could they ever know unless the man truly confessed? Can they be sure he is being truthful? Meh, the media I have been presented with of late paints the courts in a very bad image... just a week or so ago, there was something about the ten commandments as found in the bible disallowed from being brought into court, even though most laws seem to be fundamentally based on them? Yes I know that sounds very vague... but I cannot remember the exact details at the moment, i'll search for the information later.

doesnt the court ask you to swear on the Bible? ( your religion may allow you to not swear on it in the Canadian court system, for example a Christian would not swear on anything they believe there word good enough besides that some of them don't feel right swearing on the Bible ) Oh yeah I don't think I remember all the 10 commandments off the top of my brain, but lets go with what I remember, know what in fact I will go grab one right now, and we will see why it would be ridiculos to exclude the 10 commandments just because there part of the most popular religion(of course thats not the reason they give out, but there are a bunch of other religions where have a transcript of there laws would not be banned, there will of corouse be a few laws which as solidly based to religous matters, but it woudl be ridiculous to singely choose specificly the ten commandments): gah, this translation is sloppy and messed up, going to go grab another Bible later if you guys still or actauly cared the first place.

man that is a bunch of mumle jumble, that in America right? Ridiculos court stuff always happens in the U.S. ( no offense or anything ) I mean this one guy broke into someone's house, landed on a table with a knife and the knife managed to make a deep stab in him by the way he jumped through the window. Guess what? Hes succesfully sewed the guy who owned the house. A robber was climbing a school trying to break in and fell off and succesfully sewed the school.... all in the wonderfull pop modern society of U.S.A. ( hey im not saying it's your guy's fault or tha the country is sucky, but honestly the court system needs some work on it )
