It was a great move, but I didnt think there was really a great plot to it.

I mean it was just aliens come, humans run. Rinse and repeat until aliens die.

But as far as a special effects movie goes, it was great .

The movie was nice. Did anyone notice that the b00m sound that the alien tripods make sounds a lot like the concussion charges set off by Jango Fett in Episode II?

You're right, it was close, but it's not the same sound.

The entire movie up to the ending was outstanding. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The ending, however, was pretty dumb. It's almost as if Spielberg said "Ah, to hell with it, let's just wrap it up and throw in some dumb ending plot." But definitely worth seeing, in my opinion.

Gradius I am gonna make fun of you later for this because that is how the book ends :P

Btw all the movie was flash graphics and special effects. Thats about it. Nothing really special in my eyes.
Yup same, didn't really like it.

Well that's how H.G. Wells wrote it, back in 1898, so spielberg just followed the book :P. For us to be alive today it took acouple billion deaths to get used to the tiny micro-germs and organisms.

It could be possible that we'll never be able to walk on another planet because we havn't been on it for millions/billions of years, so that the tiny chain of events could have taken place, so we could live there, and be immune to the teeny tiny microbes.

H.G. Wells was an Aethiest, and he believed in Evolution, couldn't you tell? :o but he put that God part in the end so he could sell more copies of his book :D... and he did :P
