Does anyone have an idea on what is going to be in the episodes 7-9 or if they are actually coming. I'd really like to see the kids of the Solo's and Ben. From what I have read, it's that Admiral Thrawn grabs the power again and joins the Empire
remaining forces. He then leads the "rebels" into a trap, but they escape. on a specific moment Trawn is defeated. If I am not mistaking The son of Han and Leia Solo, Anakin Solo, dies in this battle. After this there is a thread from a realm outside the outer rim. these destroy the Jedi Acedemy, that was rebuild. but in the end this empire is defeaten. In this empire there are no dark jedi or normal jedi. That is what I know about these episodes. i really dont think that there should be a 7-9 cuz Lucas says he really doesnt want to and by the time he mite be interested, hell be pretty old. i think that if anything, a new series should be made, following any of the book storylines or a show that will either be after ROTJ or way before TPM. jus a thought. _______________ Personal body guard to teh 1337 Jacen Aratan! well, if you go by the games (DF2, and JK2) the baddies arent sith, they are dark jedi. Jerec was a dark jedi, because palpatene and vader took the sith spots. Well if anyone here watched the Connections intro before the Episode II DVD, you'll know that Lucas had no wishes at all to have ANY Sith at all after Vader as it would ruin all the plots. Dark Jedi are fine though _______________ The Notorious Conversation Killer |

I thought all the post-ROTJ novels were unworthy of the Star Wars saga.
I remember reading a FAQ for Jedi Outcast in which one of the questions was whether JO is Cannon. It said absolutely not and quoted the guy who is the head of Lucas' book company as saying that the official story of Star Wars is contained in the films and that the novels can all be considered to be apocryphal. I was delighted to hear that. (I've heard that in one of the novels Earth actually becomes part of the storyline, and that alone was enough to deter me from reading beyond Heir to the Empire. I thought the Ysalamari or whatever those creatures were called were also a stupid plot gimick that made no sense--if such creatures existed the enemies of the Jedi would have been breeding them for centuries, and _everybody_ would have known about it even back before Episode I.) What I'd like to see for episodes 7-9: Whatever it was that Lucas had in mind originally, without any regard to whether it fits with the EU novels and comic books. The novels should be regarded as fan fiction, a sort of alternate reality. There is precedent for this. Remember the old Marvel Comics series? I might be the only one here old enough to have read it as a kid. It started with the comic adaptation of Star Wars (this was before it was retitled A New Hope) and then continued with the adventures of the heroes after that. When Empire came out they neatly tied in the storyline so they could do an adaptation of that. They had license from Lucas to do all this of course. Anyway, in that series Jabba was a humanoid about the size of a normal man. When ROTJ came out, the comic had to make way for the film version, not the other way around. I don't see why the same standard can't be applied to the novels. _______________ My signature is only one line. You're welcome. |

exactly. the simple fact that yoda was able to absorb the lightning dooku threw at him proves that he is capable of much more powerful things that could potentially be extremely lethal. but does he ever do anything of the sort? no. that is why he is a light sider.

There are no "two sides of the Force" as illustrated in the games. There is simply The Force. How a Jedi uses it determines whether he/she is a Light Side User, or Dark Side User. Therefore, for example, just because Luke used the Force to choke the guards of Jabba's palace, doesn't mean he's part of the Dark Side, simply because in the games you see Force Choke as a Dark Side "power". _______________ Follow the virtues of your heart |

I know I saw Lucas refer to Episodes 7-9 in an interview.
What he claims is that Episodes 1-6 are ulimately about Anakin Skywalker. He explained them in terms of a loop...redemption. Anakin falls in 1-3, then it's an upswing in 4-6. Then he redeems himself in the end. Episodes 4-6 could be the first half of a circle for Luke Skywalker, which is really what the whole thing was INTENDED to be... Think of two circles, that overlap. One circle is Anakin's Story, the other is Luke's. They overlap in Episodes 4-6. (like the Discover card symbol. And you can get a discover card with Vader on it too!) If any 7-9 were to be created, they would fill the second part of Luke's circle, which would be restoring the Galaxy, completing his story. Who would they fight after the Empire? Who knows. It would be like all our guesses about who the Jedi fought BEFORE the Empire. Boy did we mess that up. Lucas did say that he would not make 7-9, but he would allow for others to build on it. But we all know that really won't happen. Though the two-ring story would be sweet. To see Luke grow as a Jedi and restore the Galaxy to it's original splendor (like it was in Episode 1, or pre-Ep1.) Also, did you notice how every move ends without dialogue? It's a traditional thing. Oh, and I did a 12-page paper on the mythology and such in Star Wars. I can look up the exact source if I need to, but that was his intention a while back, and well... ...He also intended for Mace to have a BLUE saber also. A Quick note about the period Between EP 4 and 5:
Did anyone everyread a series called Vader's Quest. Its about the post-Death Star (I) era, in which Vader meets with Luke and Obi-Wan guides his luke in the fight, destroying Vader's hand. This was later contridicted by GLucas in two places. Once in ROTJ - The look of disbelief on Luke's face, and the realization that they were not too dissimilar. And of course, the scene in episode II. |

It is , unfortuneatly, not a question of what we want it ti be, but a question of what is in the plots already written by George, remember he has had basic plots for 1-9 written from the start. He only picked 4-6 to make first as he thought that no one would let him make a 9 part serial in one go , so he picked the part where the most action was. |
