| JA Radio: Prom - 48 Hours of JA Radio | |

So Virtue messaged me recently to say that JA Radio needs to be running for the entire duration of the coming prom, which will last 48 hours. This means some preparation is in order. We are going to need more DJs and also we'll be cleaning up the DJ list. JARadioBot is continuing to be updated and new features added. By the time of the prom, JARadiobot will be a very valuable tool for the DJs. In order to get a password to stream to the server, you'll have to have DJ access with the bot. Then you can ask the bot for the password. Many of you have noticed when one DJ goes off and another comes on, there is a break in the stream that causes many of you to disconnect. We have a solution to that: you can expect DJ_Sith to add what's called a 'backup-mount' to the stream that will fill the void between DJs. This way when we switch DJs during the prom, no one will get disconnected. It's basically a looping track that picks up if the stream from a DJ drops. Also I am hoping we will be able to get the Radio Player (http://henkes.student.utwente.nl/jaradioplayer/) to work when you click the JA On-Air button on the top-right side of your screen. Again this will be done with the generous help of DJ_Sith. Virtue has asked me to handled DJ applications. Oh my gawd! Prom! I have nothing to wear and I need to make a hair appointment! Very nice idea. So does this mean the map won't have any songs?.... Hopefully the rawkingness of the JAradio won't detract from me being able to hear everyone getting thoroughly smashed and making inappropriate comments to one another on TS.
