Hey everyone I just wanted to make this topic to know if anyone else wants the servers to be able to support more people cause on weekends i usually can't get on because everyone is on at the same time and sometimes thats annoying cause some peeps are just afk and not even doing anything. So i was wondering if it would be possible to up the amount of people allowed on the Home server or any server really. Plz anyone who agrees with me answer to my calling thank you that is all for now. If this is the wrong thread to be putting this in or this is already been said before then please edit this and delete it or move it thank you. _______________ There is no dominant stance of power. well when i was on and there were 20 peeps which has been happening lately cause we are getting more members homies but i wasn't lagging at all im not complaining about lag cause i don't lag yay XD but its the fact that i haven't been able to get on sometimes cause of the server being full its really only on weekends. _______________ There is no dominant stance of power. Yeah i agree with Ozz on the first part of his comment i read, yes i didnt bother to read all of it, just shows how caring i am maybe you should jump on home 30 mins befor you usually do, ya' know befor the "crowd" gets there that'll fix your problem _______________ I have beaten The Internet. some time ago i saw wireplay with 16/16 ppl almost every day. note 'some time ago'. now servers are kinda empty... _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. 20 people on home? That's quite an unusual occurance to my knowledge. Only time the home server has gotten anywhere near capacity in the past was at big events like the prom or knighting ceremonies. And when that happened the server would start to lag quite badly. I think they have set it to a max of 20 now to stop that happening, which is a good thing. But even if the home server is full, we still have wireplay, *most* people don't have a problem with you being on classes, we have a CTF server if you want to try something different, if Virtue isn't testing some new map then the Projects server wouldn't be in use. We have plenty of places to play in, I don't see why we all have to be on the one server at one time. _______________ A wizard did it. |

Best advice is to try and get on early and maybe use a minimizer to use other programs at the same time. Of course it isnt really fair if you spend the whole time minimized on other users who are trying to connect. If you really want to get on just persevere and im sure a space will be open soon. |

This forum is for discussion of the upcoming map: The_Academy_v3. This topic would fit more in Academy Discussion. Anyways, it depends on the server host's system specs. If it allows any more than it already does, the server may get awfully laggy, depending on how much the server can handle. I'd imagine that the maximum amount of clients was set with this in mind. |
