Ok, I'm at my wit's end. I have never used mIRC or jIRC or IRC or kIRC whatever before, all these connection channels and ports are completely new to me. Any help would be hot, I don't need a full explaination of how it works thanks, just what procedures I should follow so I can talk to you guys using the applet underneath the forum tab. Thanks ![]() _______________ Former padawan of RoseRed This post was edited by Eica on Jul 31 2005 11:48am. |

So can you in perform, and it's less work... whatever floats your boat, I guess.. |

Quote: EDIT: Also, I really don't recommend using the channels folder (or in Bail's words, favourites)... just put /join #NameOfChannel on a separate line in perform, under the Q auth... When you're adding or editing a favorite channel, you can choose what networks it should auto-join on. I automatically join #gentoo on any IRC network I happen to be on, but I only join the JA channels on Quakenet. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

No, you can't change username after registering with Q, only password. Your username is whatever you used as nick when saying hello to Q. EDIT: Also, I really don't recommend using the channels folder (or in Bail's words, favourites)... just put /join #NameOfChannel on a separate line in perform, under the Q auth... and make sure you're only doing the auth perform on Quakenet, unless you feel like showing Q's on other networks your password.. I actually have a tutorial written up, but it's in a .doc (albeit designed for html, just without tags for images), but I can't be bothered to upload pics and page again. Smells like work.
