I hope the Episode 3 DVD contains the scenes that were cut from the film, in fact i know the ultra collection will have scenes fixed and and most cut scenes reinserted into the films. i dont mind the expanded mos eisley and cloud city sequences and stuff like that. I especially liked the scene in ANH where jabba appears. However some additions sucked: 1) the jabba's palace music scene: my god could it be more cartoony and artificially inserted into the movie so george could show off his lame cgi? 2) the anakin skywalker ghastly apparation at the end of ROTJ changed to hayden christianson: WOW i couldnt believe that they did that in the dvd. I was just steamed completely. they pretty much cut Sebastian Shaw out of the movie AND ruined the effect, putting Hayden christianson into the old movies just makes me want to puke SOO badly 3) Greedo shooting first: you all know this one, the most terrible idea in the history of ideas. Basically ruined teh edgy effect that was created. That kill used to say somthing about han solo's character. It said "Han is a bad mutha trucka, do luke and ben know what they are getting into?" now it just says " im lucky the other guy has no aim, must be those dum rodian compound eyes." other than that i dont mind the dvd additions, especially the animals that have been added with cgi. _______________ It's a false hologram, it IS artificial... |

I'm one of the few who actually like the additions. The original trilogy looks phenominal on dvd, much better than i ever thought it could. When i had it on vhs, you could tell that it had been shot some 20+ years ago. But with the dvd, it looks brand new. I like the additions because they help blend the prequels to the original trilogy. _______________ I know whats been troubling you...... |

It cant be worse than all the stuff they did to origial trilogy dvds... oh wait yes it can. George lucas needs to stop changing movies after they are made. A lot of the additions arent better than the original content. |
