It was mentioned earlier that Elvis got more #1's than the Beatles... but if you ask your parents about who they wanted to go see in concert the most, I suspect most of them would say the Beatles, heh. |

Elvis brought the world a new, unique style in his time. His career lastet from '56 - '77, during which he was 15 years on the top of the charts. The Beatles (I sadly know less about them than I'd like) took the new pop-music not so much to a higher level, but certainly to a different course. Both have certainly influenced the world of Music an awful lot, and their styles found a place in the hearts of most people. This makes it very hard to say, who was 'better.' Imho, it all comes down to this: Both are truly unique icons of world-music history, legends whos music still is heard this very day. Therefore, who is 'better' is hard to determine, maybe we shouldnt try. ^^ _______________ The name is Bond. James Bond. |

Hmm well, in meaning of how great they were musically, I would have to say Elvis > The Beatles.. This because of Elvis was A guy, and The Beatles was 4.. Ive heard Elvis is doing ok in the charts this very moment. For sure, we all remember 'A Little less conversation,' which was a Great hit. Also, his album: Elvis: 30 #1's did great. When was the last time the Beatles were at #1? Dont get me wrong though, The Beatles, just like Elvis, made a great tribute to the world of music. Wether one is better than the other, CAN be mesured by succes (who has the most #1's?) but personally i prefer for the subjective view on this. Musical taste is something personal  EDIT: (I forgot my point rofl!) In the end its not a matter of who is better, its about which is ur own personal favourite. _______________ The name is Bond. Personally, I like Elvis best (Elvis fan), though the Beatles rock 2!!!!!! I do feel Elvis has a slight 'edge' over the Beatles, as he IS the Artist of the 20th century.
