So snag a stool at the bar and sit back for an hour of good times.

Erm, I just wanted to announce that I'm an idiot. Changing the stream to MP3 isn't a server setting, it's a client setting. You simply change your encoder to MP3 and set your mount point to /live.mp3. That's it. I feel retarded.

On a side note, here's the source for JARadiobot's icecast script. I'm not a programmer by any means and even less of a TCL scripter, but I think this is the only icecast TCL script in existance.

Just wanted to suggest that JA Radio go back to a 128kbps MP3 format. Because of how much trouble people have with playing ogg files and that JA Radio Player no longer works, it's just not worth it to use the ogg format (even though its much better than mp3). JA Radio Player doesn't work anymore because it got some of it's files from freedomaudio.com which is no longer in service. So that means the player won't work.

Only person who can make this change is DJ Sith. He'll have to modify the icecast config and give us the new .mp3 mount point. DJs will have to change their encoders to MP3 and adjust their mount points. Doing this might be worse performace for people with bad connections playing the game, but will allow many more listeners to tune in without jumping through hoops.

Sorry to say I'm stepping down as a DJ, my schedule is too busy for my radio show nowadays

Perhaps one day, I'll do a show once more, but for now I'd like my show removed from the schedule please

Well, my show isn't on here yet, since Henkes is lazy (

), but I suppose I should make a note:

We're having family over for a big Thanksgiving dinner tonight, so I probably won't be able to be at the computer for the whole duration of my show. If that happens, I'll keep the queue full and pop down as often as possible to check for requests or whatever.

EDIT: w00t, I'm able to be here for the entire duration of the show! Me and my one listener!

Terribly sorry everyone, but this Sunday's edition of my show will have to be cancelled. Why? Various reasons:

1. This day in the evening I will be directing the recording of tyrant's game film.

2. Problems with SAM broadcaster.

3. Sunday is my Birthday, so I gotta go out and partay

If any current DJs are fabulous enough to be interested in covering my Sunday radio slot (just for this day), just let me know.
