By the way... before you go and start up a server, check your ISP's service agreement, and give them a call if there's ambiguity. My ISP doesn't allow clients to run web/e-mail/etc servers, but small game servers (or pretty much anything on port >1024) are OK as long as I don't exceed my account's upload limit and other customers don't complain. Not all ISPs are as tolerant. ;)

Yeah. I've had a server up in the same place for about a week and a half, and I already have 3 or 4 regulars plus plenty of guests. Hardly ever less than 3 people on. :D

Aye, I once ran my server on 29070, and the map was boc... two guys connected and started laming... so I exercised my admin rights lol. It's pretty fun seeing your server actually get guests.

I forwarded port 29070 on my router to my computer on UDP. My servers have had a couple of people connect.

If it's a dedicated server, that is; servers launched through the Create Game function run on TCP. Port 29070 is the default; I recommend forwarding it to your computer on both TCP and UDP.
