 Ok, this one is new to me, never had a problem gettin' on before. For some reason JKII can't load the academy map. Can't figure out why. I even created a directory "maps/<filename>" in all the seeminly appropriate places...any ideas? Let me know ASAP as I have been getting rusty since I had to slick my hard drive!!

What happened was I had to slick my hard drive and my backup was a little...hmmm...off. Didn't backup v3 of the academy. So when I reloaded all my pk3's I just assumed that the academy pk3 said "v3"...nope "v2". Hmph! 
So, as you can see....moron. Thanks for all the advice to academy stooge! _______________ Fact of the day: In New York City, rats bite about 311 people in an average year. Make sure you've gotten the version 3 academy map then. And that you didn't download the version one or 2. Also I believe the NL server is still running version 2. Make sure your map has the right name so it should be jedi_academy_v3.pk3 I had an a different error becaue the maps weren't crossed, my version 2 map had the wrong map name or something. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill. hm that maps path is virtual. a pk3 file is like a zip archive for many other files.
simply download the jedi academy map V3 and put it in the gamedata\base folder. Made a directory of maps/<filename>?? Whaaaaaaa??
I just have the academy map pk3 in the base folder. I never had to make another directory for it. C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base Is the location I put all my pk3's and I don't get those errors. _______________ When you are going through Hell, keep going. -Sir Winston Churchill.
