Well in the past few weeks there has been very little of this but it might be that students just dont know where to report this stuff to.

To Jake, sometimes the people take the whole FFA outside thing over the line, Just a few days ago I was showing 2 new people to the academy around, and They had announced an FFA outside, so I asked them if they would let us walk out for a sec and do a cease fire so the guys could see it, and all 4 of the people outside agreed, it was quiet when I got near the door so we all 3 walked out, the instant I opened the door one guy sitting near the trip mine respawn shot me with a rocket, then another student, and began hopping around shooting at us until I killed him, and he said I was pull laming, thats what I call over the line.
And about the hitting while down thing, heres how it works for me, first of all I constantly play with 250-350 ping, so I feel I deserve the right to hit you when you are down if I have kicked you down, but if I win a saber lock and you fall over, I let you get back up, but if I kick you down, you can expect I'll nail you while your getting up. To Javaguy, I've seen the crap your talking about, people put too many limits on a duel, I dont like it when someone tells me dont do this dont do that blah blah, now granted, I dont like to duel, I like NF fighting more, but I'll say "Anyone want to NF fight me, no throw?" and thats how I get my opponents, I dont run around chasing people down begging them to NF fight me. And about the kick thing, I'm a major kick whore myself, and I'm willing to admit, kick is quite overpowered if you compare it to saber attacks, as it is totally unblockable, but its not hard to dodge a kicker at all, even with my lag I can dodge and normally counter-kick someone whos trying to kick, just takes a little practice. |

My very favorite is when people trip-mine the Matrix room, and when I complain they say "We all agreed, so it's not against the rules." I love how two or three people can be "we all" without the consent of anyone else. Luckily I haven't seen that particular bit of idiocy in a few months.
The no-kick guys do the same thing. They unilaterally anounce "No kick!" _after_ the duel begins, and then when I kick them they whine "Hey! It's no kick!" If they want a no-kick fight, they must ask _before_ the challenge, but they don't do that because no one will duel a lamer like that anyway. The "kicking is lame" argument is simply a rationalization for the fact that they have failed to master a critical skill and so don't want those who have mastered it to use it. It's like the guys who whine "no rush" in real-time strategy games; they aren't skilled enough to defend against an early attack, so they demand that their opponents hamstring themselves. No thanks. If there's a "No kick" rule for people who can't kick and/or counter a kick, then why not a "No DFA" rule for people who can't counter a DFA? A "No yellow stance" rule for people who want to use red but don't want to be carved up when one of their slow swings misses? Or just drop all pretense and ask for a "Let me win" rule, which is what they really want? The chat-box thing only _really_ bothers me when someone attacks and then immediately pops up the chat-box while I counter. I've seen this in gun fights outside, and I've seen it in duels. Just a few things about rules.
Gun FFA's outside: Ok zero I think you've been there a few times when there have been little full force, full weapons FFA's outside, and have backed me up when someone called me a lamer for doing something which was hardly illegal. FFA's technically aren't against the rules, as long as they are outside, and the majority of people don't mind.If you just wanna start a FFA but people are ouside, using the courtyard for RPG or mine accuracy training or something, then you can't jsut say "FFA, everyone leave if you don't wanna die!!!" If the outside is empty, put it to the peoplein the server, see if you get a positve response. If you get some followers, the off you go enjoy yah fun. Now, if a FFA is taking place, but you don't agree with it, either ask a JAK or JAT(if they approve of it then tough luck, its a FFA  )
Don't walk outside, with a saber or a gun, or UNARMED, as in the heat of a FFA all people see is targets, not always what they are holding. Many a time have I been knee deep in a FFA, killing people jsut at random, shooting anything that moves, then someone comes outside and stands in the middle. You shoot em as you think they are a target and what happens ? "LAMER JAKE, you boke the rules" If you don't wanna get shot, then don't go outside. Even if you just wanna watch by sitting up on the ledge and not participate, don't we surprised if you get a few stray shots, at least. Another thing is when you're gun fighting someone then they drop there weapons, going unarmed and stand still, or start typing. What did they think, that cos they stopped the fight is over ? I can understand people gernally wanting to ask or tell you something, but I've seen wuite a few people go into chat mode, then a few seconds later hear them heal, as they were using the invulnerable shield which cahtting gives you to refill their force pool. If I'm fighting someone and they are showing aggression back to me, the fight isn't over until one of us is dead. Sometimes people run off into the temple, and at this point I'll admit defea and find a new opponent. Sorry if this sounds harsh and seems I'm only in it for the glory of the kill and win, but a FFA is supposed to be madness, where you put all the skills you've learnt to the test and push yourself to the limit. Obviously this is just my view, sorry if I'm forcing this upon you, but it seems o make sense. I'll accept any ruling about it though from JAK's or educated students. I'm sure buzz will rip it out of me for this or totally agree with me, so off you go man
Attacking people when knocked down: Hmmm this one is tricky, its not against any rules whatsoever, and some people see it as lame. I've heard people say, after being knocked down and attacked "Hey I didn't do that to you, thats not fair, extend me the same courtesy" This isn't true, kicking is a legal move. Whilst spamming it can be annoying you have no right to call someone lame or cheap for knocking you down and continueing with their attack. Personally I don't do this, as I feel neither person gains anything, and jsut brings bad feeling to a friendly duel. If I happen to pull of a random side kick though, which wasn't intended and my opponent goes flying, I wil ltake advantage of the situation. I'll only kick DFA if someone keeps spamming a move or I see no other way to beat them, kind of like a desperation move.
