Hello all,

Just thought I would bring this to anyone who is interested. Republican Pride

This is a site I am developing with some real enthusiastic political guys with very strong convictions. We are swinging for the fences with this one. We really want to give people a voice. A place where they can go and post good news, bad news, information, outrage. ALL OF IT.

We are looking for people to contribute full time, part time, at your own pace - whatever. We have some great contributors already and are looking for some more. So if your interested, swing by. Thanks!

While I thoroughly respect your opinion and your right to said opinion. Does your board offer a rebuttal area, to allow those that oppose your view a voice on your site? Kinda like the "State of Union Addy" we get tortured with every year, you know the President says alot of stuff for a couple hours, then the guys in government that don't like the President get to talk for 5 minutes about how the Pres has it all wrong...rofl

It would be the American thing to do, it would be the fair and balanced thing to do.

Precisely. But the Naderites will never think that through.

Everybody understands that if the price of meat tripples, a burger will be more expensive. Why is it so different to understand that if another ingredient of the burger--the labor to produce it, deliver it, cook it and ask if you'd like fries with it--triples in price, that too will make the burger much more expensive.

something to consider...

there is not a one to one ratio in the relationship of product cost to labor cost.

some anecdotal evidence...

last time minimum wage was increased my dad thought things were going to be bad. his labor costs were going to jump significantly. so, he had to raise his menu prices to try to offset the labor cost increase. but to his surprise, business increased because people that previously didn't make enough money to eat as his restaurant started coming in to eat there. end result, the increased business actually made his profits increase despite the large increase in fixed costs of labor.

rasing minimum wage in a mass-production market does work. as the per unit cost of goods and products is not affected as proportionally as the wage increase itself. but that's something that certain econimists don't want you to realize :P

I signed the petition to get Nader on the ballot in Ohio. I suspect the majority of signatories were Republicans. :)

The guy gathering signatures was going on and on about how when Nader is President he'll raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. I started to ask him why not raise it to $100 an hour but stopped myself.

SO if i nader ever becomes president (which he never will) there will be massive inflation.

CT OWNS ALL THAT IS DECENT AND PURE.

Oh and real quick, Mr. Sith,

Neoconservatism refers to the political movement, ideology, and public policy goals of "new conservatives" in the United States, who are mainly characterized by their relatively interventionist and hawkish views on foreign policy, and their lack of support for the "small government" principles and restrictions on social spending, when compared with other American conservatives such as traditional or paleoconservatives.

They do not speak for republicans even though they may say they are in our party. They have not ruined our "once decent" party. They are not even a thought in the true republicans mind. I could say all the ultra left wing wackos ruined the democrats too, but that just doesn't make sense.

Republican Pride is American Pride.

w00t!

He cut off Darth Vader's hand and kicked him down a flight of stairs. He got his @$$ zapped by lightning from the geezer Emperor, stood up and said "s'at all you got b!tc#??"

Point: Kenyon.

There's flaming aplenty on both the liberal and conservative side.

Personally, I don't mind hearing somebody called "loony," or whatever, if there are some facts to back it up. A lot of people confuse any disparaging language with ad hominem, but there's a difference:

You're a bonehead, therefor your argument is invalid.

Your argument is invalid, therefore you are a bonehead.

The first assertion is ad hominem, a fallacy. The second is possibly a valid line of reasoning, provided that the person making it can show why the argument in question is invalid.

I don't have a problem with a "Loony Left" forum. Just remember that such a forum's credibility will be predicated on the presence of factual examples of the Left's lunacy and undermined by any suggestion that all Democrats are like that. I think "The Extreme Left" would have been a better title for the forum, and it would better serve itself by leaving out the language about how liberals take themselves seriously--I myself know lots of liberals I take very seriously and quite a few I don't.

But yeah don't start, of course that would have required you not posting anything here at all.
