LoL you stole that from penny arcade Sared. I like what Billy said but I'll take it a step further. Macs are the Caddys or Porches (they come luxurious as is) PC's can be like Hondas or Toyotas, but they also can be like customized, high performance, street-racing machines. He said that Macs is a better IT station that both Windows AND Unix. BTW, as far as the media schtuff that macs do: People always claim that macs are so good because they did all the sound for Episode 1&2, my only comment to that is this: Is that so? Unix did all the 3d effects so bite me. 
My MAJOR issue is what Buzz said, if you want to tweak performance or replace hardware then Macs, well, theyre macs. Example: I started talking hardware with a friend of mine who is a mac user and after I said something about my motherboard then he got this glazed look in his eyes and said: "Well...I've got grape!" _______________ I'm crazy, not stupid. Buzz: Many distributions of Linux work just fine on a Mac. Besides OS X is such a hotrod of an OS (a UNIX powerhouse w/ a pretty coat of paint on top) why would you want to switch?
Sure you're stuck with Motorola CPU's, but again.. these are Mac's. Mac's run on Motorola CPU's. Sun runs on SPARC architecture, Windows runs on x86.. to each his own. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

I see it like this:
PCs are like Hondas, Chevys, Fords, etc whereas Macs are more like a Jaguars, Caddys, etc. For general computing or gaming, PCs are the way to go. If you want to do like video/audio editing, then Macs are the way to go.
