I too have had my iPod for a long time. LOVE IT, ther eis nothing that can compete it in my mind. You can pick it up having never touched an ipod before and find the song of your choice in minutes. I think the battery life is great (as long as you don't use the backlight when not needed....like in bright areas) All in all, i wouldn't trade my ipod in for anything, except maybe an ipod video instead of an old school 20 gig ipod. _______________ Dicemaster |

Want a rolls royce mp3 player....but with crappy software? Buy the new Sony Walkman....awesome player....crap software lol....still...buy it...its awesome...and looks amazing...oh...and the sound quality is not too shabby either! I used to have a 4gb Ipod Nano (Black) - great player...crap battery life...of about....4hrs...OH DEAR....sucks! Too much stupid features...an example being the utterly pointless games and music quiz thing...oh, and if u keep the backlight on for ages...ur battery will suffer for it even more than it already does lol. UNFORTUNATELY...my 4gb £179.99 ipod nano was stolen by some thieving whatgimicallit..and therefore atm, am mp3less....next week...= order sony walkman but one thing...do make sure u have a good enough pc for the software lol...for some reason...its demanding...hmmmm. Oh...luckily i claimed for my ipod and got moneeeeey back! Woot! Relieved i was - the ipod nano...look(s)ed great....thats all thats to it....but the Sony Walkman...looks great....good battery...my sis got one for c/mas and she loves it...i recommend it too. I see the iPod junkies are out in force today. I however am of a diffrent variety. iRiver is my brand of choise. Models to check out is last years IFP-799. Or this years models T10, T20 and T30. All I can say is that iRivers equalizers and amps are far superior to anything else out there at this time. DJ and I were supposed to buy each other iPod's when they came out. Didn't happen... I have had one for a good while now; each time a new generation comes through I send my old one to my cousin and he sends the next generation back. I have a good routine going. I tend to need alot of space for my songs; I have a seperate, 20gb drive just for music. It is around 74% full at the moment, so you see my need for space. Generally, iPod's are the way to go if you like all your music easily accessible, due to the way the menus are set up. Say if I wanted to choose Arc Arsenal by At the Drive-In, I would start at the main menu and go: Browse -> Artist -> At the Drive-In -> Relationship Command (Album name) -> Arc Arsenal. It's a simple set-up, and you'll quickly find yourself accessing songs in a manner of seconds. Hope this helps. _______________ You are not your f***ing system specs. to be honest, I'd get an IPOD They work on Windows, they also work on Macintosh plus, they look cool, you have all sorts of varieties, and they're the best, from what I've heard. I would go for a jukebox one (usually has 20-60GB) because those aren't that expensive in comparison to how much music they can hold. Then again, you wont probably need that many songs on your mp3 player, then again, it would be nice to have a lot of songs so one wouldn't need to load new songs when you want to listen to something else.. i got a 1gb one for Christmas. its called Sansa ill dig out the whole name (numbers and random letters after Sansa i think) if you interested. but its very nice, it has space for a 2gb memory card slot (not that u need that much), it has radio and other nice things, and a cool big screen. its a San Disk make. dunno how much it was and im not gunna look but yeah i really like it _______________ [proud owner of talions 200th, 700th,1111th coment AND 1400th , DJK's 3001th coment! , saz's 400th coment! liso's 800th coment! probably 1Gb is best, if you like lots and lots of music on. that said, i have a 512Mb and hardly listen to many of the songs on it.
