Hello all,I work at the moment at a Special Effects house in Amsterdam. Now that I have more time at home, I can answer any questions recarding 3D modeling, texturing, animation and compositing for proffesional (bit arrogant, but what the hell..) products. I can only answer questions for 3D studio Max (version 5 or higher), Maya (version 7) and Adobe After Effects (6 or higher). Keep in mind that is for renderd products only! if you want to know stuff recarding modeling and texturing for games, you can go to the Editing Forum You can ask a question here, then I will answer here and on your profile. yea the basic stuff: such as color change, wipeouts, etc. but with after effects you can almost do enything. wait ill keep it simple: Premiere focuses on editing of footage. after effects focuses on adding effects to single shots. btw after effects and premiere are both made by Adobe, i dont see any reason to make 2 programs that are similiar _______________ -Evil Clown- "We interrupt this program to increase dramatic tension." after effects:with this program you can edit single shots with all kinds of special effects (blue screen-shot, adding a 3D character, etc). you dont edit shots together or add sound with this program. Masta: I know exactly what you mean, i had the same problem. I evantually renderd the text in 3d max. But later i found out that there is a 3D option in after effects. If you use that and change the Position towards the camera you get a steady zoom. when i get home im gonna show how its done. Alright so, ive been using AfterEffects 6.5 in order to create an animation. Basically, i have some black text (or more specifically, a picture of some black text on a transparent background). I would like to zoom very quickly into the text at the very end of my animation, thus creating a completly black background which would serve as a transition for my next animation. I tried to use the inbuild "scale" feature of AE which was rather unsatisfying. The actual speed of the scaling-process stops beeing proportional after a certain percentage. At the start, the "scale" function zooms my text fast till it hits the 1000% mark and slows any further zooming down. I would rather prefer the whole text to be zoomed at the same speed until one of the letters fills out the whole screen.
