Me and Ris spent one boring college day working out what we could do to the world by our intracate system of external harddrives and usb dongles! We ended up with a million gig... Basically, get a fairly basic system (get two of them but dont worry about that yet), one with 6 usb slots (4 in back 2 on front) and in each one slot in a 7 way usb dongle... giving you 42 available usb slots. Then you slot a 7-way usb adaptor in each of the 42 slots.. giving you 294 available usb slots. Then plug a 2000gb (2TB) external harddrive in each of the 294 slots... (those hard drives are 900+ quid from scan) That worked out at 558 TB (558000 GB).... then buy another pc and do the same with that.. giving you just over 1000 TB... in otherwords.. over a million Gig... if you link em by some simple LAN or something. Yup yup, 3 computers: #1 - 80GB (Hardly ever use this for anything but storage) #2 - 120GB (The same as above, although sometimes we use this as a backup LAN computer) #3 - 360GB (This is the one I usually write my posts from, play my games, and talk to you people.
