What was a sinificant death in all the Star Wars history or to just urself. Honestly the death i diliked the most was Ganner Rhysode and the almighty Chewbacca. Honestly who wouldnt wanna see C3-PO die, or deactivated or what ever happens to droids.

I think you have to be a true master of the Force to disappear upon death... maybe Qui Gon just wasn't good enough.

that means that everyones presence is intwinded in the force not just the people who 'dissapear'.

Ioshee, I do believe that Ben was the first one he saw disappear. And yes it is Qui Gon's voice that you hear in Episode 2. Ben Disappearing because his role wasn't done? How do you explain why Yoda disappeared then. He didn't really do anything afterwards. Other Jedi have disappeared if you look at the Expanded Universe. The fact of them disappearing at death or not I think is not really in any connection to their ability to retain a part of their individuality when they join the Force.

True Buzz, Vader killed many jedi before Ben, but I think Ben was the first one he saw disappear instantly. To me his stepping on the robe showed how powerful he knew Ben was. He didn't fully trust his eyes that Ben was dead. Although he didn't fully understand what Ben meant when he said "...strike me down and I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

This guy I work with said he thought it was strange that Liam Neeson signed up to do episode II and III but he wasn’t in ep. II. Wasn’t that his voice calling to Anakin through the force when Anakin went crazy on Tatooine?

Buzz is right. Smart Buzz.. but Qui-Gon's roll in the profecy was forfilled, the meaning was that Obi-1 trained him, becouse all the actions led to the destruction of the Emeror( Do NOT go telling about that his spirit wandered, jackedy jackedy) Obi-1 dissapeared like that couse his roll was not forfilled yet.

Maybe it's becuz they still had a purpose in the afterlife? I've read that after five years of being a spectral, Obi-Wan finally perished for good!

You know I think you guys have got it backwards. Qui Gon's death wasn't wierd. Except for his ability to stay alive until Obi Wan showed up, but of course he is a jedi, so he was probably trying to stay alive and even heal himself. Obi Wan is the one with the wierd death. Remember that Vader had probably killed hundreds of jedi and even seen hundreds die at the Battle of Geonosis. His reaction to the robes of obi wan seemed to show as much surprise and confusion as an expressionless mask can show. Would he have been that surprised if every Jedi he killed disappeared like that? And I don't think that saying obi wan was prepared to die just like yoda would work. I'm betting that some of the other jedi that had to square off against Vader would have been prepared to die.

Quigon did have a weird death. He gets backstabbed strait through the abdomen by Maul’s double bladed lightsaber, and then waits patiently to die until after Obi Wan and Maul have a LONG battle.

*EDIT: Sorry, on topic: I think the most significant death was when I killed LighningRod in a duel because it only happened once and I doubt it will ever happen again.

Add Tsavong Lah to the list. It wasn't cinematic, but it was significant.

And Borsk. Not Bossk, Borsk. Bossk. Not Borsk, Bossk.

Hey, wait a minute. Bossk is the Bothan, right?

No, Borsk is the Bothan.

He's the bounty hunter.

Bossk is the bounty hunter.

There's a Bothan bounty hunter named Borsk?

No, Bossk was the new republic chief of state who blew himself up at the battle of Coruscant.

No, Bossk was Transhodan.

Was he? I thought he was Bothan.

That's Borsk.

Exactly what I said. Bossk is Bothan.

But you said Bossk.

Of course it's Bossk!

Then you're wrong. It's Borsk, not Bossk.

Borsk and Bossk?

That's right. Borsk is the bounty hunter, and Bossk is the chief of...wait that can't be right.

Hehehe.:D

Hmm...Yoda...Anakin...Vader...Chewie...Obi-wan...

They're all fairly significant. I'd have to say Yoda. He rawked.
