Its hard to decide. I imagine that I would say Shadow Warrior. Was a game back in 96/94... unsure. Regardless it was a game of the mid-90's which changed my view of gaming. It had great humour, but also great gameplay. The graphics weren't particularly ahead of its time, but it was acceptable nonetheless. It was also one of the first FPS' to include vehicles and turrets. (Alongside a really tacky FPS called NAM and another one with similar graphics called SKYNET. Oblivion's combat is real time, requires that you manually aim/dodge attacks, and you control a specific person, and it's still an RPG.  I'll take your word for it though, I've never played Kingdom Hearts. Just felt like being a smartass and pointing out that plenty of roleplaying games are real time. |
