Lets face it people dont have the same taste in movies but its pretty simple to work out if you wanna watch it, the Watch or avoid is just a guideline to that genre, so if you like the genre then you will like the movie more than likely.

i'll start

today i watched

Finders Fee - Mystery Indie movie - Watch for sure

Red Eye - Thriller - Only if your bored ( though cillian murphy is creepy :D )

Live Free or Die Hard.

Good movie, I enjoyed it. Plenty of action and violence, and cg special effects were kept overall to a minimum.

Just on my way to watch Transformers, fill you in later. ;)
Ok, I never watched Transformers as a kid, so I wasn't familiar with the names, all I knew we're Optimus Prime, Megatron and the Autobots and Decepticons. And despite that I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie, I would have to say it was one of the best I've seen in a while.
I'm sure fans of Transformers will be very pleased with the movie, we'll worth seeing even if your not a fan.;):D

Brotherhood (Tae Guk Gi)

What an incredible war movie! Think "Saving Private Ryan", but about Koreans. Hell yeah.

Basically, two brothers get drafted into the South Korean Army; the younger of the two is an intelligent lad who has a heart defect, and his brother is desperate to get him out of the war. So, his commanding officer basically tells him, do everything he can to earn the Korean's equivelent of the "Medal of Honour" and he'll send the younger brother home.

A very high standard of effects and action in this movie. Pretty gory at times, and the relationships between the two brothers totally sucked me in. Check it out! You can get it in HMV for £10 if you're in the UK. There's also clips on youtube. :D

I just saw a french movie called "Banlieue 13".

AWESOME! Watch.

Just stumbled over this comment. I have to agree with the author: This is a brilliant movie, especially because David Belle is starring.
Being a traceur (practitioner of Parkour) I adore David Belle. He's the co-founder of the art (the other one's Sebastien Foucan (seen in the intro of the new James Bond movie)), and there's also quite a bit of it in Banlieue 13 (meaning District 13).

I've watched Yamakasi. It's also a 'parkour'-themed movie; a must-watch.

Paradise Lost ( Turista's in USA )

Same problem as hostel, overhyped... works better than hostile in building tension but no gore at all really. Main story if you dont know...

Group of people on holiday get involved in a bus crash and end up going to a party on the beach while waiting for the next bus. During this party they are all drugged and wake up with no money or passports or anything.
Soon they bump in to one of the people from the night previous and he calms them down and says he'll take them to this house while they sort everything out and thus he takes them to this house. Soon they all end up being put in cages while they each get taken out 1 by 1 drugged up to the eyeballs and their organs taken out while they watch ( to be sold on the black market ). Rest of the movie is them trying to escape the same fate as there friend/s

Seriously it sounds fun and for the most part it can be, but i hate it when movies are overhyped too much.
See it if your bored

PS u get to see alot of nice scenery from Brazil which is nice

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Good movie, enjoyed watching it a lot. Good mixture of all the things that belong in a good movie, action, humor and drama. There were a little too many storylines that didn't need to be in the movie, but it was a great movie nonetheless.

Definitely a must see.

Run Lola Run

A brilliant film. High octane, brilliantly directed from start to finish with some good strong performances from the cast. Well worth a watch.

Garden State

My own personal favourite film (pretty much anyway), the directorial debut of Zach Braff (JD from Scrubs) is a sublimely woven story of discovering who you are and 'letting go'. Some very fine acting and directing make this a must watch.

National Treasure

This is actually quite a fun little film, although i might be more positive about it as i watched it with my girlfriend and we spent a lot of the time laughing at it. Overall its nowhere near Indy, nor even Sahara, but it is an enjoyable adventure film that dosn't get too boring.

Last Samurai

Seen it before, but still love it. Its been critisised for its prortrayal of Japan being inaccurate and such (i believe?) and the fact its Tom Cruise, however personally i think this film is great, if taken as it is. It tells a powerful story of honour and all that jazz, along with depicting the future pushing aside the past. Well worth watching if you like films like Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, or even 300.

Narnia

An amusing distraction, good in places, but overall lacking in the quality that drips from the likes of LotR. About Harry Potter class i guess. Still like national treasure its always more enjoyable if you watch it with someone you can share a laugh with.

King Arthur

:P

Actually not as bad as i thought it might be, some reasonably good performances make you interested about the characters and makes the final battle more poignant. Still it is a flawed film that in places refuses to make much sense. Average in a lot of ways, Gladiator, Samurai, and even Kingdom of Heaven are superior (among others).

Saw Tenacious D - The Pick of Destiny

Ok, it is full of stoners humor which I enjoy, teehee, but the music is quite good and funny.

Anyone who likes the D's music should enjoy the film.

Aaaah Family guy.

In other viewings...The Messengers.

Creepy house? Check.
Ignorant parents? Check.
Moody teenager who is suspicious? Check.
Complete stranger who becomes part of the family? Check.

Nothing new, very predictable, but does make you jump.

Think Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds + The Grudge + The Ring + The Amityville Horror = The Messengers.

I've really been wanting to see that film.

Now i am almost on the verge of running the 35 odd miles to the cinema and kicking down the door for a private viewing.

In other news i watched I, Robot again. Its good, underrated perhaps and one of Will Smith's best performances. Although however much i like the brand the advertising of Converse is kinda funny and sticks out.

Allow me to clarify.

By 1.5 hours of entertainment I did leave too much to interpretation.
I could however say that the movie left me with as much of an impact as doing my taxes would.

I wouldn't say that it's a bad movie. I have certainly seen worse. But after a movie is over I usually have a decent answer if asked how it was. In the case of Ghostrider my description would be a shrug...followed my a less than enhusiastic "meh".

Ghostrider - An alright movie. Something I would deem "standard" 1,5 hours of entertainment. Nothing more.

Tbh, entertainment is what its aiming for.. It's not aiming to make everyone leave the cinema thinking of how symbolic a paper bag is. I would say 1,5 hours of entertainment is good considering most of the movies that are released today are rushed.

It's our fault for being such an impatient audience...

I could have gladly waited another 30-40 years to see episode 2 / 3, just so I wouldn't have to see Hayden Christensen they rushed out along with the movie he ruined... Both of them...
