I have a couple of questions :\

OK...

1) I remember when I first joined the academy, I wanted Virtue as my master. I found out that he couldn't take anymore Padawans. So then I asked Dash Starlight, he couldn't either. Now why do you think that I wanted a master?
*1) One reason was that I wanted to become better at lightsaber combat. The people who have battled me know what I am talking about.

*2) I thought that if I had a master...I would be able to join the Jedi Council. Now why?

Because I want to be able to do more than what I can do in the academy. Like hosting a class.

What JJ said.

You should ask yourself why you want to aim for rank. A lot of people misunderstand what is it and what it involves. Having authority over people really is not what its about, authority is a grain of sand, surrounded by a beach of servitude and commitment on JAK+ Island. That's what rank is, at least to me.

And on having a master, many ranked members in the past never had masters. It really isn't all it's cracked up to be and certainly won't give anyone a leg up when it comes to JAK+ Selection. Padawans get private lessons which is great stuff but nothing more. On the whole it's ludicrously overrated.

If you want ranks and all that jazz, join a clan. Or the armed forces. :P

If you want to make a selfless contribution to this community, which would take up alot of your time... well, you just gotta work hard, be good, and be very patient. Just don't let it be your goal, and you never know what might happen.

Here you get a master to be taught, it has nothing to do with advancing ranks. Although if you're still looking for a master don't give up. A lot of people just make one post in the "Looking for a master" thread, wait a few days, and just give up. It took me months to find a master but it was well worth it.

Especially take a close read of the last Q/A in that thread.

Having a master official or otherwise doesn't automatically make you eligible to be a JAK never mind council.

It isn't just saber combat that the upper ranks are looking for, check the thread about being a Knight :).

In the mean time going to classes and being a regular on the servers and helping out will make you stand out more. Try to set an example to follow.
